Abstract:
A bogie is capable of being moved from a rest configuration to an active configuration in which the bogie carries at least one vertical load. The bogie includes a chassis, at least one pair of wheels, and a shaft extending along an axle axis for each pair of wheels. Each wheel has a wheel hub extending along a hub axis and an axle box attached to the chassis and receiving the associated hub. Each hub is rotatable relative to the associated axle box. For each hub, the hub axis forms a non-zero camber angle with the axle axis of the associated shaft when the bogie is in the rest configuration.
Abstract:
A coupler system includes: a coupler main body attached to a longitudinal direction end of a carbody of a railcar so as to be rotatable in a yaw direction; a curvature information acquiring portion configured to acquire curvature information of a track, the railcar being located on the track; a control portion configured to determine a target rotation angle of the coupler main body in accordance with the acquired curvature information and output a rotation signal regarding the determined target rotation angle; and a rotation angle changing portion configured to rotate the coupler main body to the target rotation angle based on the output rotation signal. When the railcar is stopped or when the railcar is traveling at a coupling speed, the control portion outputs the rotation signal to start rotating the coupler main body.
Abstract:
The disclosure discloses a swing bolster, a swing bolster vibration reduction assembly and a bogie. The swing bolster includes a body, wherein a mounting cavity for mounting a friction block is formed in two ends of the body; the mounting cavity is provided with a first horizontal opening and a second horizontal opening, which are opposite to each other; and opening directions of the first horizontal opening and the second horizontal opening are perpendicular to an extending direction of the body. The friction block is not matched with the swing bolster through slopes, and a movement direction of the swing bolster is perpendicular to a movement direction of the friction block relative to the swing bolster, so that a vibration reduction effect of the bogie in an unloaded state is ensured, and using reliability of the swing bolster is ensured.
Abstract:
A wheel truck, including: a front wheel pair assembly and a rear wheel pair assembly, two side frame assemblies, two spring suspension devices, and a bolster assembly. The spring suspension devices include a bearing spring unit, a damping spring, and a wedge. The wedge includes a primary friction surface and a secondary friction surface. The primary friction surface is attached to a column surface of the side frame assembly. The secondary friction surface is attached to an inclined surface of the bolster assembly. The wedge has the following structure parameters: α=16-30°, and μ
Abstract:
The invention provides a bogie which comprises a bolster, two side frames and four constant contact dampers, two sides of two ends of the bolster are respectively provided with a wedge pocket; the four constant contact dampers are respectively arranged in four wedge pockets, and each of the four constant contact dampers comprises a wedge and a damping spring; the damping spring is arranged in an inner cavity of the wedge; one end of the damping spring bears against a top inner surface of the inner cavity of the wedge, and the other end of the damping spring bears against a bottom plate of the wedge pocket, wherein the bogie further comprises four through holes and four ejectors which respectively correspond to the four constant contact dampers; the through holes are arranged on the bottom plate, and the position of each of the four through holes on the bottom plate corresponds to the position where the damping spring bears against the bottom plate and a load spring of the bogie; and one end of the ejector penetrates into the damping spring, and the other end of the ejector bears against the load spring through the through hole. The bogie of the present invention solves the technical problem that the deformation of the damping springs keeps constant whether a car is empty or loaded in the prior art, and thus improves the damping effect of the bogie.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a track (1, 101) of a track system with straight, transition, curved, and switch track sections. The invention further comprises bogies (40) for vehicle cabins suspended under the track. Track sections of the track have an upper rail (1) and one or two lower rails (101, 201). Further, a bogie (40) has fore and aft sets of upper guide and switch wheels (151, 251, 154, 254), and one set of lower guide and switch wheels (152, 153, 252, 253, 156, 157, 256, 257). The bogies (40) also have one left and/or one right load bearing wheel (150, 250) and one drive wheel facing upwards and engaging a downwards directed drive wheel running surface (15) of the upper rail. Each set of lower guide wheels consist of left and right wheel pairs (152, 153, 252, 253) so that transition sections can be passed without moving any parts of the bogie (40). Switch wheels (154, 254, 156, 157, 256, 257) are separated from guide wheels so that they can be positioned according to the preferred direction of travel well before reaching a switch.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a device (20) for suspending a first element (16) on a second element (14, 16, 18) of a railway vehicle. Said suspension device (20) comprises two longitudinal rods (26, 28) which are each connected to the first element (16) by means of a first connection point (30, 32) and to the second element (14, 16, 18) by means of a second connection point (34, 36), and at least one elastic member (38) that is positioned between the two rods (26, 28) to define at least the vertical rigidity of the suspension device (20). The two rods (26, 28) are longitudinally offset relative to one another.
Abstract:
A center bowl liner is provided for use between a center plate of a railroad car and a center bowl surface on a truck bolster. The center bowl liner includes a disc-shaped element having top and bottom surfaces and a central opening for receiving a center pin. A conductive spring washer is attached to the disc-shaped element, with the conductive spring washer having a contoured profile such that portions of the conductive spring washer are exposed at the top and bottom surfaces of the disc-shaped element and create an electrical connection between the railroad car center plate and the center bowl on the truck bolster. The disc-shaped element acts as a load-bearing element generally supporting the railroad car center plate. The conductive spring washer, since it has spring-like properties, will also undertake to bear a limited amount of the load of the railroad car center plate in addition to providing an electrical connection between the car and truck.

Abstract:
A system and method for hybrid personal transit and components thereof is disclosed. The hybrid personal transit (“HPT”) system can be a system of combined highway and monorail transportation methods, which allows roadworthy HPT vehicles to transition onto, and run on, a system of monorails. The rails can be built on the ground, on poles, or in tunnels. A unique drive system will allow each HPT vehicle to alter drive output from the HPT vehicle's tires to a rail drive system.
