    Abstract: A pharmaceutical preparation system defining a vertical axis and a horizontal axis is provided, including: at least one platform onto which a vial holder is mounted, the vial holder configured to hold and to pivot at least one vial; a lift mechanism operably connected to the platform for raising or lowering the platform along the vertical axis; and a controller configured for: a. instructing the lift mechanism to raise or lower the platform; b. instructing the vial holder to pivot the vial to assume an upright orientation for injecting fluid into the vial or an inverted orientation for drawing fluid from the vial; c. synchronizing actuation of the lift mechanism and the vial holder such that a level to which the platform is moved is correlated one or both of: the orientation of the vial, presence of one or more components connected to the vial and aligned vertically with respect to the vial.

    Abstract: A containment system for placement in an installation space includes a housing which encloses a process chamber, a dosing station for the aseptic filling of vessels with a liquid, positioned in the process chamber, a transfer port leading into the process chamber, and a functional module which can be moved up to the dosing station, The module includes an element carrier, functional elements installed on the element carrier, and media feed lines connected to the functional elements. The functional module with the element carrier, the functional elements, and the media feed lines is movable from an initial position, through a transfer port leading into the process chamber, to an operating position at the dosing station.

    Abstract: Containers, such as pharmaceutical containers, are held in an apparatus for processing containers by a holding device. The holding device has a main body and a container receptacle with at least one abutment element for the container. The containers have a direction of extent extending in a receptacle direction of the container receptacle. The container is positionable against the abutment element to assume a defined position. A holding element can hold the container in the container receptacle. The holding element is movably mounted on the main body between a release position, in which the container is insertable into the container receptacle in an insertion direction oriented transversely to the receptacle direction, to a holding position, in which the holding element engages behind the container and acts upon the container with a holding force oriented in the direction of the container receptacle to hold the container with clamping action.

    Abstract: The present invention involves a rotary peristaltic pump and associated method employing the relaxation of pressure on flexible tubing between the rotor and stator of the pump to restore the rotor to a start angle while a valve on the output of the pump is closed to avoid progress of fluid through the system. Three different implementations of the pump and method are presented including reciprocating the stator, reciprocating the rotor, and retracting the idler rollers of the rotor into the rotor to relieve the pressure on the flexible tubing. A controller ensures the appropriate switching and timing of the valve and rotor of the pump. The pump and associated method are directed to the precision dispensing of pharmaceutical fluids into containers, including containers held in container nests.
