摘要: A device for pushing a stack of printed products from a table on which the stack is stacked has a stacking receptacle provided on the table and receiving the printed products for stacking. The stacking receptacle is defined by four lateral edges of the printed products and has two opposed lateral guide walls viewed in a pushing direction of pushing out the stack of printed products. The guide walls each have vertical guide rails moveable along the guide walls in the pushing direction. The guide rails on the opposed guide walls are positioned opposite one another in guide rail pairs forming a forward receptacle boundary and a rearward receptacle boundary in the pushing direction. The rearward receptacle boundary in the pushing direction is a pushing device for the stack of printed products.

摘要: A synchronized palletizer includes a row conveyor and a layer head, each vertically reciprocating within a frame. An infeed conveyor delivers in series items row-by-row onto the row conveyor. The row conveyor moves to vertically coincide with the layer head and laterally transfer a row items onto the layer head. Once a complete item layer has been constructed on the layer head, the layer head collapses the layer together and drops the layer through its floor onto a pallet or stack of item layers therebelow. Generally, the layer head vertical position follows the top of stack of item layers and the row conveyor travels reciprocally between the infeed conveyor and the layer head to deliver items row-by-row to the layer head. A variety of alternative relative positioning schemes, however, may be implemented.

摘要: Newspapers and other printed matter fed from a printing press or inserting machine are generally folded or delivered in a continuous stream with the papers oriented in an overlapped or imbricated relationship. The stream of papers are received and stacked by the stacking apparatus or stacker which must operate at high speeds. The stacker orients the papers in the stacks and ejects the bundles of papers. The present invention relates to devices intended to reduce the prospects for inadvertent interference with the stacking mechanism or to reduce the potential for injury.

摘要: A discharge device and a method of discharging an article. During discharge the article is kept in a holding position and in a holding orientation by holding means. The holding means is movable between an article supporting position and a non-supporting position, the movement being performed swiftly so that the article maintains the holding orientation during the remaining part of the discharge. The orientation of the articles is thereby controlled. The discharge device comprises at least two receiving stations, and for each article a corresponding receiving station may be selected, e.g. according to final destination, size, shape and/or nature of the article. Well suited for discharging articles of substantially homogeneous size and shape, such as CD's, video cassettes, tape cassettes, books etc. May be adapted for discharging a number of different kinds of articles. Saves space because two or more receiving stations are connected to one discharge device.
