Abstract: A cleaning pig assembly is provided for use on a tubular drag conveyor. The assembly is quickly and easily mounted anywhere along the cable, chain, or rope via slots in the assembly components. The components include a puck, a plate, a drag disc, and a cleaning member or tool sandwiched between the puck and the plate. The drag disc provides interference fit on the cable, chain, or rope holding the assembly on the cable, chain, or rope and prevents sliding of the assembly along the cable, chain, or rope during use. The cleaning assembly is installed without the use of tools or clamps. Multiple interchangeable cleaning members are provided depending on cleaning needs.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an embedded scraper rotation angle detection device for a scraper conveyor and a detection method. The detection device includes two extensible detection devices, two signal detection units and a remote processing unit. The two extensible detection devices and the two signal detection units are disposed at two ends of a scraper respectively. The signal detection units detect movement displacements of the extensible detection devices in real time and send out signals through wireless transmission modules, the wireless transmission modules and a wireless receiving module are used for data transmission, and a signal display processing module is used to calculate a rotation angle value of the scraper in real time, output and display the rotation angle value simultaneously, compare the rotation angle value measured in real time with a set safety threshold, and send out an alarm indication when the rotation angle value exceeds the safety threshold.

Abstract: The forged link and round bottom drag conveyor paddle assembly and method of making same provide for use of a hollow sleeve for engaging link ends together and engaging round bottom drag conveyor paddles to the link through engagement of a suitable connector through the round bottom drag conveyor paddles and the sleeve to make the round bottom drag conveyor paddles easily replaceable. As an alternative embodiment a solid sleeve incorporating threaded ends is also proposed for use in engaging round bottom drag conveyor paddles to a forged link.

Abstract: A linkage for moving material from a first end of a conveyor toward a second end of the conveyor includes a first link and a second link. The first link includes a first side edge and a first indicator. The second link includes a second side edge and a second indicator. The second link is coupled to the first link such that the first side edge of the first link overlaps with the second side edge of the second link. Elongation of the first link in the direction of movement causes the first indicator to move relative to the second indicator, and a position of the first indicator relative to the second indicator provides an indication of a wear condition of the first link. In some aspects, a first surface and/or a second surface of one of the links includes a wear indicator representing a surface wear condition.

Abstract: A dollie assembly for a vehicle wash includes a center link configured for attachment to a drive mechanism of the vehicle wash and having a throughhole with a first bushing extending therethrough along an axis between opposite ends with cylindrical bearing surfaces on opposite sides of the center link. A tire pushing roller is disposed on each of the bearing surfaces for rotation about the axis. A pair of track rollers are supported for rotation about the axis. The track rollers are disposed on an opposite side of the pair of tire pushing rollers from one another such that the pair of tire pushing rollers are between the pair of track rollers. The pair of track rollers are rotatable about the axis independently from pair of tire pushing rollers.

Abstract: A chain fault diagnosis system and a chain fault diagnosis method for a scraper conveyor are provided. The diagnosis system includes a strain rosette attached on a top end surface of each sprocket tooth of the scraper conveyor. The strain rosette is connected to a signal gathering unit fixed on a scraper conveyor roller through a shielded conductor, the signal gathering unit sends a gathered signal to a wireless receiving device by means of wireless transmission, and the wireless receiving device transmits the gathered signal obtained thereby to an industrial control computer through a USB interface. The diagnosis method includes the following three steps: chain dislocation/skip fault judgment, chain breakage fault judgment and chain seizure fault judgment. A comprehensive monitoring of the chain state of the scraper conveyor is performed by measuring strain magnitudes in different directions of the sprocket tooth in real-time, transmitting the gathered signal to the industrial control computer via a wireless transmission method and dynamically diagnosing the faults of seizure, dislocation, skip and breakage of the scraper conveyor chain based on the obtained strain data.

Abstract: An article transport device includes a transport mechanism which is configured to support, from below, a container being transported and to transport the container along a transporting path, and a housing which forms an accommodating space in which at least a part of the transport mechanism is housed. The housing has one or more support plates, a plurality of brackets, and a housing panel. Each of the one or more support plates is a plate-shaped member extending along the transporting path and is configured to support the transport mechanism from below. A lower end portion of each of the plurality of brackets is attached to a corresponding one of the one or more support plates such that the plurality of the brackets are spaced apart from one another along a direction along the transporting path, outside the accommodating space along the lateral width direction. When the housing panel is not attached to the at least one of the plurality of brackets, the housing is provided with a communicating opening for allowing communication between a space inside and a space outside the accommodating space. The vertical dimension of the communicating opening is set to be a dimension that corresponds to a vertical dimension of the at least one of the plurality of brackets.

Abstract: A rail-road intermodal freight system. In an embodiment, a conveyor system is provided for placing rail cars in a position for loading shipping containers thereon, while an over-the-road trailer is secured to the rail car. Rail cars have a frame with a front end and a rear end, and a bogie having at least four flanged rail wheels is pivotally mounted to the rear of the frame of the rail car. A method for unloading the rail cars includes lifting the front of the frame of the rail cars and pivoting the rail cars by an angle alpha from the track direction at an unloading area, and lowering the front end of the frame to the ground to allow truck access to trailers on the rail car. By utilizing the method, efficient loading and unloading of train involved in intermodal shipments may save considerable time, and thus reduce costs.
