摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for wire winding and fabrication for dynamo-electric machine components such as ferromagnetic armature or stator cores for motors or the like. Wire may be wound onto individual portions of dynamo-electric machine components, which may then be assembled to form complete components. Wire may be wound by steering a rotating flyer or the like in a trajectory that closely follows the surface of the core onto which the wire is being wound. Wire may also be wound by rotating the portions during winding. The same holding members that are used to hold the portions during winding may be used to hold the portions during assembly of the portions into machine components.

摘要: The present invention aims at providing a method of wire winding without the failure of engagement of the wire caused by the deviation of position of a nozzle and bobbin terminal. The method is characterized in that, in the case of winding wire around the outer peripheries of rotating wind-up tools of which the peripheries are parallel to their axes of rotation, each wind-up tool 8 is attached to each of a plurality of spinning bodies 6 each of which has the rotation axis same as the wind-up tool, a rotation driving source is provided for each spinning body 6 for winding the wire, and the rotation driving sources are rotated in synchronism with each other.

摘要: The invention is an apparatus and method for accurately applying a cord to a rotatable mandrel while manufacturing cord reinforced articles. The apparatus includes a rotating build mandrel, a cord supply, and a feed capstan for assisting in feeding cord from the cord supply to the mandrel along a defined cord path. At least two drums of differing diameters are located in the cord path. Encoders are connected to each drum for measuring at least the angular movement of the drum. Using the angular movement of the drums, the effective pitch line differential of the cord is determined.

摘要: A tape wrapping machine is provided for wrapping a moving length of tape onto a moving length of hose that is moving relative to the machine and the length of tape with controlled tape tension, and lay angle during wrapping. An adjustable guide arm supporting a moving length of tape is mounted on a rotating shuttle plate, and is adapted to pivot toward and away from a length of hose between a first position and at least one second position so as to provide a plurality of angular relationships between the guide arm and the moving length of hose. A first tension transducer is arranged so as to support the length of tape and a second, reference transducer is positioned in spaced diametric relation to the first transducer. A reference signal from the second transducer is subtracted from a signal from the first representing the centrifugal force plus the tape tension applied to the first transducer. The result of this subtraction yields a signal that represents the tension in the tape. This signal is communicated to a computing and control device where the speed of the tension controlling motor is dynamically altered to maintain a specified tension.

摘要: A method of constructing a segmented wound member of an N phase electromechanical device comprises winding N sets of segments and combining the N sets of segments in a common circular arrangement to form the wound member. The N sets of segments are wound with a single continuous length of wire for each set. Each of the N sets of segments is wound separately from the remaining sets of segments and then combined in the common circular arrangement with the remaining sets of segments to form the wound member.
