摘要： A device particularly adapted and designed to sanitize hand rails of Escalators and Mobile Conveyors. The devices are attached to the bodies of the Escalators and Conveyors above the moving rails with the sponges touching the rails thus sanitizing them as they move under the sponges. The sponge wet with sanitizing solution should sanitize the rails and assist in the spreading of sicknesses and diseases which should give confidence to people riding them to hold on to them thus reducing the chance of injuries or death and possible insurance premium hikes.

摘要： The escalator handrail decontamination system includes at least one sealed decontamination unit, for safe and localized decontamination environment, including at least one ozone generator, at least one ozone concentration sensor at the decontamination zone, at least one ozone destruction unit for converting ozone to oxygen; at least one ozone safety sensor for monitoring ozone level in the area surrounding the moving handrail belt; at least one secondary ozone destruction unit downstream of the at least one safety sensor; an intermediate controller and a central controller. The ozone output from the EHDS ozone generator is constantly monitored by an ozone concentration sensor to ensure minimum efficacy levels of ozone are maintained and to ensure ozone output remains within designated safety levels. The EHDS is positioned at the unseen lower section of the revolving handrail.

摘要： The invention is an escalator handrail cleaning apparatus for a running handrail (1) on a guide rail (11) along an escalator (12), wherein the cleaning apparatus comprises: —a main body (3) with a preferably underlying, generally through channel (31) for the handrail (1) to pass through, —a steam supply hose (2) to a longitudinally running inlet channel (21) in the main body (3) and connected to one or more across distribution channels (5) in the main body (3), —a number of steam nozzles (6) from the distribution channel (5) directed towards the through passing handrail (1), —at least a first and a second squeegee gasket (7) for delimiting a space (38) in the through channel (31) between the main body (3), the through running handrail (1), and the surroundings and arranged for wiping off water and dirt from the through running handrail (1), —at least one drain channel (41) from the space (38) wherein the drain channel (41) conducts water, steam and dirt to a return hose (4), preferably by vacuum. The running handrail will, by means of the cleaning apparatus, be steam cleaned so as for bacteria to be killed off and dirt dissolved and removed.

The light emitting device may include a flexible light emitting layer emitting a light; and a transparent or translucent layer over the flexible light emitting layer. The exiting light exiting the transparent or translucent layer may have at least a portion thereof having a wavelength in a range of 380 to 420 nanometers, and may disinfect the exterior surface of the transparent or translucent layer. The light emitting device may be used alone to create a self-disinfecting high touch surface, e.g., on a door, or may be shaped to mate with other structure to create a disinfecting high touch surface.
