    Abstract: A method of operating a bin storage system includes a plurality of storage columns for storage of a plurality of vertically-stacked storage bins and a plurality of robot vehicles for transporting storage bins. A plurality of supporting rails are arranged in a two-dimensional matrix at the top of the columns. The supporting rails are arranged in a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The method includes positioning a cavity displaying a downwardly facing opening for the storage bin of one of the plurality of robot vehicles such that the cavity is aligned with one of the storage columns to permit the cavity to receive a storage bin from the storage columns, receiving a storage bin from the storage column into the cavity, and moving the robot vehicle along the bin storage system, using a plurality of wheels attached to the robot vehicle. A first set of wheels is arranged to allow the robot vehicle to travel in the first direction along the supporting rails. A second set of wheels is arranged to allow the robot vehicle to travel in the second direction along the supporting rails. At least one of the first set of wheels and the second set of wheels are configured to be displaceable from the supporting rails, such that the first set of wheels are in contact with the supporting rails when the robot vehicle travels in the first direction and the second set of wheels are in contact with the supporting rails when the robot vehicle travels in the second direction.

    Abstract: A scissors actuator is configured to translate a support platform in either of opposed lateral directions with respect to a base frame and includes a first arm, a second arm, wherein the first and second arms are rotatably connected at intermediate positions between their respective first and second ends, the first arm is pivotably attached at its first end to the base frame, and the second arm and is pivotably attached at its second end to the support platform. A first slide is disposed within a first linear track formed in the support platform and includes a bearing protruding from a side of the first slide for rolling contact with a side of the first linear track formed in the support platform. The first arm is pivotably and translatably attached at its second end to the support platform by the first slide. The second arm is pivotably and translatably attached at its first end to the base frame by the second slide.

    Abstract: A carrier vehicle includes a front frame and a rear frame conveniently attachable to and detachable from the front frame. The front frame includes a frame body, at least one battery structure installed along an inner front side wall of the frame body and a connecting rod wheel component at a transverse bottom of the frame body. The rear frame comprises an operating handle, a handle joint base, a hydraulic component having an oil cylinder, a bearing component and a driving assembly. A bottom end of the operating handle is rotatably connected to the handle joint base, which includes a joint fixing base and a microswitch. The bearing component includes a bearing bridge having bridge lugs detachably connected to ends thereof, and a middle part sleeved on the oil cylinder. The front frame and rear frame are transportable in a separated compact configuration, with later simple and fast assembly.

    Abstract: A lifting and lowering control system, which drives a carrier device of a stacker to perform lifting and lowering operations, includes a driving module, a position sensor, and a processor. The driving module is connected with the carrier device for driving the carrier device to move from the initial position to the lifting position, which is defined as a first travel, and to move from the lifting position to the placing position, which is defined as a second travel. The position sensor detects a first or a second displacement amount respectively generated by the first or the second travel. The processor receives and stores the first and the second displacement amounts. The processer is allowed to read the stored first or second displacement amount and accordingly control the driving module to trigger the carrier device to carry out the first or the second travel at non-constant speeds.

    Abstract: An intelligent logistics system for wheels is configured to access a first rim and a second rim, and includes a conveyor belt, a material rack and a moving member. The material rack includes a plurality of placement assemblies. Two of the placement assemblies are configured to place the first rim and the second rim. The moving member reciprocates between the conveyor belt and the material rack, and includes two drivers, a moving frame driven by one of the two drivers and two moving carriers driven by another of the two drivers. The two moving carriers respectively load the first rim and the second rim from the conveyor belt. The two moving carriers respectively limit the first rim and the second rim, and the two moving carriers unload the first rim and the second rim to the two of the placement assemblies of the material rack.

    Abstract: A materials handling vehicle includes a camera, odometry module, processor, and drive mechanism. The camera captures images of an identifier for a racking system aisle and a rack leg portion in the aisle. The processor uses the identifier to generate information indicative of an initial rack leg position and rack leg spacing in the aisle, generate an initial vehicle position using the initial rack leg position, generate a vehicle odometry-based position using odometry data and the initial vehicle position, detect a subsequent rack leg using a captured image, correlate the detected subsequent rack leg with an expected vehicle position using rack leg spacing, generate an odometry error signal based on a difference between the positions, and update the vehicle odometry-based position using the odometry error signal and/or generated mast sway compensation to use for end of aisle protection and/or in/out of aisle localization.

    Abstract: A system and method provides a supply of consumables to a processing instrument that uses one or more of the consumables for each of a plurality of processes performed by the instrument.
