Abstract: The invention is classified as a physicochemical method of natural and waste water treatment and can be used in the energy engineering, chemical, petrochemical, food and other industries, especially in treatment of process, domestic, precipitation, mining, oilfield, quarry water and the water of tailing pounds.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the treatment of natural and waste water, to increase the capacity of a moving bed pressure filter and also to ensure high efficiency of the cleaning of the moving bed.
The technical result is the expansion of the range of application of the moving bed pressure filter ensuring high efficiency of treatment of both low-contaminated natural water and highly contaminated waste water.
This result is obtained due to the use of additional stages of chemical treatment during water treatment (oxidizing agent, demulsifier, powder sorbent), the use of various types of a pressure flocculation reactor, grains for a single and double moving bed, which have different grain composition and density, the performance of four-stage cleaning of the moving bed, the use of a dual-flow moving bed pressure filter, as well as due to the use of the additional pressure flocculation reactor followed by the removal of severe contamination with the use of a pressurized hydrocyclone.-

Abstract: The invention relates to the field of water purification, namely to methods and devices for water purification using the ultrafiltration method and is intended primarily for purifying water with organic contaminants. The method of purifying water with organic impurities by ultrafiltration consists of preliminary preparation of water for ultrafiltration, which consists of ozonation and mixing by recirculation in a contact container, as well as in the process of ultrafiltration itself utilizing membranes. In the near-membrane space of the ultrafiltration device there is formed a high-speed gas-liquid regime with a water-bubble flow flowing around the membrane surface. Wherein, water supplied to the ultrafiltration device is carried out simultaneously with the supply of ozone-air or ozone-oxygen mixture through at least one water-jet ejector. A second recirculation cycle is organized through the ultrafiltration device into the contact container and again into the ultrafiltration device. In the near-membrane space of the ultrafiltration device there is formed a high-speed gas-liquid regime with a water-bubble flow flowing around the membrane surface. Wherein the water flow through the water-jet ejector is set in the range from 0.5 to 45 m3/h, the ozone mixture flow is in the range from 0.3 to 30 m3/h, and pressure in the ejector discharge line is in the range from 0.2 to 1.6 MPa. The method is carried out using a system including an ozonation device, a contact tank, a recirculation line and an ultrafiltration device itself. At least one water-jet ejector is provided at the inlet to the ultrafiltration device, wherein the working diameter of the suction nozzle relates to the working diameter of the discharge line nozzle in the values between 0.35 and 1.0.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method may include reducing the microbial load in contaminated water of water recycle loops. These water recycling loops may include pulp and paper mills, cooling towers and water loops, evaporation ponds, feedstock processing systems and/or non-potable water systems. The methods may include providing a peracetate oxidant solution. The peracetate solution may include peracetate anions and a peracid. In some embodiments, the peracetate solution may include a pH from about pH 10 to about pH 12. In some embodiments, the peracetate solution has a molar ratio of peracetate anions to peracid ranging from about 60:1 to about 6000:1. In some embodiments, the peracetate solution has a molar ratio of peracetate to hydrogen peroxide of greater than about 16:1. The peracetate solution may provide bleaching, sanitizing and/or disinfection of contaminated water and surfaces. The peracetate oxidant solution may provide enhanced separation of microbes from contaminated water.

Abstract: Example methods and systems for segregation and treatment of waste water streams for enhanced oil recovery are disclosed. One example method includes generating concentrated solution by treating, using a forward osmosis process, waste water of one or more gas streams from a gas plant associated with one or more gas wells, where draw solution of the forward osmosis process includes produced water from one or more crude oil production traps, and the waste water contains kinetic hydrate inhibitor (KHI). The concentrated solution is treated using an oxidation process to generate oxidized solution by decomposing the KHI in the waste water. The oxidized solution is injected into an oil reservoir through a water injection well for enhanced oil recovery.

Abstract: A process for PFAS decontamination comprises exposing water comprising PFAS contaminant to gas to accumulate a PFAS concentrate and separating the PFAS concentrate. PFAS separation is enhanced by the addition of a hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant, such as 1,1,1,2 tetraflouroethane, difluoromethane or pentaflouroethane to the gas wherein it is believed that with carbon-fluorine bonds of the hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant aid in attracting the carbon fluorine tail of all types of PFAS compounds to the water-gas interface and especially aids separation of smaller molecular weight PFAS molecules, including beyond what can be achieved using charged or ionised gases alone, thereby allowing a larger spectrum of PFAS molecules to be extracted from soil or water.
