摘要: In order to improve the behaviour of a museum display case towards objects exhibited therein, the display case is subjected to a heat treatment in which the museum display case is maintained at a treatment temperature for a treatment time. The treatment temperature is between 35° and 50° and the treatment time is at least 30 hours. In this way, the emission of harmful volatile substances, including VOCs (volatile organic compounds), is drastically reduced and consequently the objects displayed in the display case are not at risk of damages due to the presence of these volatile substances in the display case.

摘要: A method for producing a high silicate glass substrate, includes: (1) obtaining a glass precursor containing, as represented by mol % based on oxides, 60% to 75% of SiO2, 0% to 15% of Al2O3, 15% to 30% of B2O3, 0% to 3% of P2O5, and 1% to 10% in total of at least one selected from R2O and R′O; (2) applying first heat treatment to the glass precursor to cause phase separation so as to obtain a phase-separated glass; (3) applying acid treatment to the phase-separated glass to make the phase-separated glass porous so as to obtain a porous glass; (4) drying the porous glass so that a rate of change in mass reaches 10% to 50%; and (5) applying second heat treatment to the porous glass to sinter the porous glass so as to obtain a high silicate glass substrate.

摘要: A fire blasting device for manufacturing a medical glass container prevented from breakage and deformation. A glass container is placed on the outer peripheral surface of each of a first roller and a second roller, which are disposed side by side in such a manner that the axis lines are parallel to each other. The axis line of the glass container is parallel to the axis lines of the first roller and the second roller. The entire outer peripheral surface in an inner surface of the glass container corresponding to a region deteriorated by processing is made to abut on the outer peripheral surface of each of the first roller and the second roller. A flame is ejected from a point burner to the region deteriorated by processing in the inner surface of the glass container while rotating the glass container by rotating the first roller and the second roller around the axis lines.

摘要: The invention relates to a method to derive a medical form body of lithium silicate glass ceramic. To increase its strength it is proposed that in the form body comprising lithium silicate glass or containing lithium silicate glass the lithium ions are replaced by alkali ions of greater diameter to generate a surface compressive stress. To this end the form body is covered with a melt containing an alkali metal for which an aliquoted quantity of salt containing the alkali metal is used.

摘要: An insulating glass unit cooling assembly and method of cooling an insulating glass unit is provided. The cooling assembly includes a cooling unit that directs air at insulating glass units and a conveyor that transports insulating glass units along a path of travel defining an axis of travel for the insulating glass units. The conveyor has a conveyor planar surface that supports a corresponding planar glass surface of the insulating glass units as the insulating glass units are conveyed along the axis of travel such that the planar surface of the insulating glass units are substantially horizontal and substantially parallel to the conveyor planar surface. The air from the cooling unit is directed in a path substantially parallel with the conveyor planar surface and the planar glass surface of the insulating glass units as the insulating glass units travel along the conveyor.

摘要: A method of making a glass article includes melting batch materials to produce molten glass, heating or cooling the molten glass to a temperature, forming a glass article from the molten glass. The batch materials include a plurality of viscosity-affecting components that become at least part of the glass article. Selection of the batch materials or the temperature was made at least in part using computer-implemented modeling where predicted equilibrium viscosity of the glass at the temperature is a function comprising concentrations of viscosity-affecting components and temperature-independent fitting coefficients for the viscosity-affecting components.

摘要: A glass pattern printing process may print a pattern on a front side of a glass. The glass pattern printing process may produce the pattern in a wear-resistant, acid-resistant, alkali-resistant and well-transparent form. The glass pattern printing process may be ideal for producing light-emitting tiles.
