摘要: A machine is for the manufacture of a hollow glass article that includes at least one thin side wall. The machine includes at least one molten glass parison distributor, a blank mold including a cavity designed to successively receive at least one parison of molten glass, and components that form a blank of the article in the blank mold, transfer the blank into a cavity of the finishing mold, and form the article in the finishing mold. The cavity of the finishing mold includes at least one side part provided with a concave cavity to form, on the side wall of the article, a convex bulge directed towards the exterior of the article. The machine further includes a component that removes the bulge to give the side wall of the article a substantially constant thickness.

摘要: In a cleaving apparatus for a glass film, an initial crack, which is formed at a leading end portion of a preset cleaving line of a glass film, is propagated along the preset cleaving line by a thermal stress generated in the glass film through localized heating performed along the preset cleaving line and cooling of a heated region resulting from the localized heating. At this time, a resin sheet having higher flexibility than the glass film is arranged in a cleaving region, and the resin sheet is floated by blowing a gas on a lower surface of the resin sheet by a floating unit. Then, a preset cleaving portion of the glass film including the preset cleaving line is lifted and supported while being covered with the floated resin sheet from below, and in this state, the glass film is cleaved.

摘要: A method for heat sealing an electron gun mount, having a glass stem, into a neck of a cathode-ray tube includes a mount socket for supporting the mount within the neck and a plurality of burners for applying heat to the outside of the neck proximate the stem. The neck softens, thins and then seals to the stem, causing excess neck material that is lower than the stem, known as cullet, to be cut off. Prior to applying heat, a sleeve is disposed around the mount socket within the neck adjacent to the cullet, with a clearance between the sleeve and both the socket and the neck. A vibrating coil is attached to the sleeve for vibrating the sleeve while applying heat to the outside of the neck.

摘要: Tumblers and the like articles are produced from vitreous, plastic and similar materials by a continuous step by step production method, wherein each article may be first preliminarily formed as a parison and then blow-formed as a blank or semi-finished article. While the blank is still hot or semiplastic, dimples or depressions are formed in its side and bottom walls to produce an indented or dimpled type of shape. Side wall dimpling is accomplished by providing transfer finger pairs with pressure nubbins and preliminarily employing the fingers as clamping pressers; a bottom end dimple is produced by providing a bottom closure plate of a vacuum head assembly with a centrally disposed nubbin and applying suction force to draw the article up into the head.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing iridescent crystal glass. The glass products produced with the method of present invention have the advantages of good streamline shape, natural color transition, and excellent visual effect, etc.; the method is helpful for accelerating product upgrade, improving product appearance and visual effects, and enhancing competence of products. Therefore, we paint iridescent crystal ink on glass products, and add patterns suitable for household electric appliances and buildings, thereby greatly improving the appearance of the product. In addition, due to the high safety performance of toughened glass and suitability of patterns and colors, iridescent crystal glass products have been accepted by the consumers gradually. The method comprises the following steps: a. cutting; b. edge processing; c. toughening; d. ink preparation; e. iridescent crystal printing; f. drying: the drying time and drying temperature are controlled according to the properties of the mixed ink; the drying temperature is controlled at 120˜200° C., and the drying time is controlled within 5˜30 minutes.

摘要: An automatic machine is disclosed for molding small glass articles, such as lenses, jewels, buttons, etc. The glass is supplied to the machine in the form of elongated solid glass rods. A number of these rods are fed downwardly to cutting shears. The lower ends of the rods are heated and they are severed in turn and fed to molds on a molding dial. The molding dial supports a number of spaced molds and after a glass slug is fed into each of the molds, the molding dial carries each charged mold successively to a molding station and a plurality of heat treating and cooling stations, and finally to a discharge station.
