Abstract: A method for obtaining a curved laminated glazing unit, includes applying an enamel coating to a part of a first face of a first glass sheet so as to create at least one enameled zone and at least one unenameled zone, applying a sacrificial layer to a part, called the sacrificial zone, of a first face of a second glass sheet, simultaneously bending the first and second glass sheets, the sacrificial zone being disposed at least in line with at least one part of an enameled zone, removing the sacrificial layer, either during the bending or after the bending step, and laminating the first and second glass sheets by a thermoplastic interlayer.

Abstract: A process for preparing a laminated glazing involves providing a first glass sheet having a desired shape with a first thickness, providing a second glass sheet having a desired shape with a second thickness; providing an interlayer between the first and second glass sheet; applying a mould shaped substantially the same as the first glass sheet against the second glass sheet; aligning the two glass sheets and misaligning the mould with respect to the two glass sheets so the mould is offset relative to the two glass sheets; and laminating together the first and second glass sheets and the interlayer at a temperature and pressure sufficient to adhere the interlayer to the glass sheets, such that after lamination, the second glass sheet is offset relative to the first glass sheet whilst the shape of the second glass sheet is substantially the same as the shape of the first glass sheet.

Abstract: A quartz glass plate has a quartz glass plate body and a quartz glass member adhered to the quartz glass plate body through an adhesive layer, where the adhesive layer contains silica, and a sum of concentrations of Li, Na, and K ions, being alkali metal ions and Ca ions, being alkaline earth metal ions contained in the adhesive layer is 10 ppm by mass or less. Consequently, a step with a uniform thickness can be formed, and a quartz glass plate is not easily damaged by irradiation with a light containing an ultraviolet ray.

Abstract: Embodiments of a curved vehicle display including a display module having a display surface, a curved glass substrate disposed on the display surface having a first major surface, a second major surface having a second surface area, and a thickness in a range from 0.05 mm to 2 mm, wherein the second major surface comprises a first radius of curvature of 200 mm or greater, wherein, when the display module emits a light, the light transmitted through the glass substrate has a substantially uniform color along 75% or more of the second surface area, when viewed at a viewing angle at a distance of 0.5 meters from the second surface. Methods of forming a curved vehicle display are also disclosed.

Abstract: A carrier substrate to be used, when manufacturing a member for an electronic device on a surface of a substrate, by being bonded to the substrate, includes at least a first glass substrate. The first glass substrate has a compaction described below of 80 ppm or less. Compaction is a shrinkage in a case of subjecting the first glass substrate to a temperature raising from a room temperature at 100° C./hour and to a heat treatment at 600° C. for 80 minutes, and then to a cooling to the room temperature at 100° C./hour.
