摘要: A feed mixture comprising at least one C3 olefin and/or at least one C4 olefin may be contacted with a zeolite catalyst under oligomerization reaction conditions to form a product mixture comprising a plurality of olefin oligomers. The zeolite catalyst, optionally with one or more further modifications, may be selected for operability at high WHSV values that may produce at least C12 olefins in the product mixture having an average branching index of about 2.2 or less. Under suitable conditions, C10-C13 olefins may comprise at least about 25% of the product mixture, M based on total olefin oligomers. Percentage conversion of the at least one C3 olefin and/or at least one C4 olefin may impact the average branching index of at least C12 olefin oligomers and selectivity for C10-C13 olefin oligomers. An amount of C4 olefin in the feed mixture may produce a targeted selectivity for at least C1 olefins.

摘要: A feed mixture comprising at least one C3 olefin and/or at least one C4 olefin may be contacted with a zeolite catalyst under oligomerization reaction conditions to form a product mixture comprising a plurality of olefin oligomers comprising C12 olefin oligomers having an average branching index, as measured by gas chromatography, of about 2.2 or less, such as about 1.3 to about 2.0. The olefin oligomers may be contacted with a syngas mixture comprising carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the presence of a hydroformylation catalyst to form a hydroformylation reaction product, which may be subsequently reduced to form a plurality of branched alcohols. The branched alcohols, in turn, may be converted into an amphiphilic compound, such as a plurality of branched alcohol sulfates.

摘要: A method for producing an isoolefinic stream may include: oligomerizing an ethylene stream to a C4+ olefin stream in a first olefin oligomerization unit comprising a serial reactor and a lights removal column, wherein the C4+ olefin stream contains no greater than 10 wt % of methane, ethylene, and ethane combined; and wherein the ethylene stream contains at least 50 wt % ethylene, at least 2000 wppm ethane, no greater than 1000 wppm of methane, and no greater than 20 wppm each of carbon monoxide and hydrogen; and oligomerizing the C4+ olefin stream and a propylene/C4+ olefin stream in a second oligomerization unit to produce the isoolefinic stream.

摘要: Methods for utilizing carbon dioxide to produce multi-carbon products are disclosed. The systems and methods of the present disclosure involve: reducing CO2 to produce a first product mixture comprising an alcohol product mixture comprising one or more alcohols and a paraffin product mixture comprising one or more paraffins; dehydrating the alcohol product mixture to form an olefin product mixture comprising one or more olefins; oligomerizing the olefin product mixture to form a higher olefin product mixture comprising unsaturated paraffins and optionally aromatics; and reducing the higher olefin product mixture to form a higher hydrocarbon product mixture comprising unsaturated paraffins and optionally aromatics. Catalyst materials and reaction conditions for individual steps are disclosed to optimize yield for ethanol or jet fuel range hydrocarbons.

摘要: Methods and systems for treating an olefin-containing stream are disclosed. The disclosed methods and systems are particularly suitable for treating an off-gas stream in a refining or petrochemical process, such as from a fluid catalytic cracker (FCC), coker, steam cracker, and the like. The stream is treated in an absorber column to reject lighter stream components and to absorb ethylene and/or propylene into a solvent. The solvent is typically isobutane. The enriched solvent stream from the absorber column is fed to an alkylation reactor, which reacts the dissolved olefin with the isobutane solvent to produce an alkylate product.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for integrated conversion of biomass to ultimately form naphtha and/or diesel boiling range products. The integrated conversion can include an initial conversion of biomass to alcohols, such as by fermentation, followed by conversion of alcohols to olefins and then olefins to naphtha, jet, and diesel boiling range compounds, with high selectivity for formation of diesel boiling range compounds. The integrated conversion process can be facilitated by using a common catalyst for both the conversion of alcohols to olefins and the conversion of olefins to naphtha and/or diesel boiling range compounds. For example, ZSM-48 (an MRE zeotype framework structure catalyst) can be used as the catalyst for both conversion of alcohols to olefins and for oligomerization of olefins with increased selectivity for formation of diesel boiling range products.
