the ethylene-modified vinyl alcohol polymer has an ethylene unit content of 1 10 mol % or more and less than 15 mol %, a viscosity-average degree of polymerization of 200 or more and less than 3,000, and a degree of saponification of 80 mol % or more and less than 99.9 mol %, and comprises 0.0005 mol % or more and 0.10 mol % or less of a propyl group at one end of the polymer, and
the sodium acetate content is 0.05 mass % or more and less than 2 mass %.-

摘要: The present invention relates to polymer latex composition for fibre binding comprising: a) 50 to 98 wt.-% based on the total weight of latex particles in the composition of first latex particles having a volume average particle size of 80 to 1000 nm, wherein the first latex particles optionally bear functional groups and if functional groups are present they are selected from functional groups consisting of acid functional groups and salts, amides or anhydrides thereof, silane functional groups, and combinations thereof; b) 2 to 50 wt.-% based on the total weight of latex particles in the composition of second latex particles having a volume average particle size of 5 to 70 nm bearing epoxy functional groups, to the use of that composition for fibre binding, to a fibre structure comprising the dried residue of that composition and to a method for increasing the strength of a fibre structure.

摘要: Waterborne vinyl acetate-acrylic, “vinyl acrylic” emulsion copolymers which can be used in architectural coatings and impart stain resistance to such coatings are provided. The vinyl acrylic emulsion copolymer particles in the emulsion may contain one or more particle size modes, each with a respective narrow particle size distribution. The vinyl acrylic emulsion copolymers contain as a comonomer an ethylenically unsaturated monomer and also contain a hydrolyzable silane comonomer. The hydrolyzable silane may be present as a comonomer in the vinyl acrylic copolymer and/or may be added to the vinyl acrylic emulsion copolymer emulsion in the form of a hydrolyzable silane that may have a reactive group that is capable of reacting with the vinyl acrylic copolymer.

摘要: A method of preparing a modified polyvinyl acetate includes subjecting a mixed liquor L1 containing a functional monomer to a first reaction with a first vinyl acetate monomer, followed by adding a first initiator to carry out a second reaction to obtain a mixed liquor L2; subjecting an acrylate monomer, a second vinyl acetate monomer, a second initiator and the mixed liquor L2 to carry out a third reaction to obtain a mixed liquor L3; and subjecting a third initiator and the mixed liquor L3 to carry out a fourth reaction under the air-tight and ultrasonic conditions. The functional monomer is selected from acrylic acid, oleic acid or butenedioic acid. Uses of modified polyvinyl acetate obtained by the method and oil-based drilling fluid containing the modified polyvinyl acetate are also disclosed.
