摘要: The present disclosure provides an extrudable article and a composition, each including at least one polyurethane including hydroxyl groups and latent isocyanate groups in the form of uretdione groups. The hydroxyl groups are present on a first polyurethane and the latent isocyanate groups are present on either the first polyurethane or a second polyurethane and a ratio of the latent isocyanate groups to the hydroxyl groups is greater than 1.2:1. A method of making the extrudable article is provided including reacting in an extruder a polymerizable composition including a uretdione-containing material including a reaction product of a diisocyanate reacted with itself, a hydroxyl-containing compound, and an isocyanate-containing compound. A method of making a core-sheath filament is provided including forming a core composition of the at least one polyurethane and wrapping a sheath composition including an ethylene copolymer or a polyolefin around the core composition. Further, methods of printing a composition are provided including heating and mixing the extrudable article, such as in an extruder, to form a molten composition, then dispensing the molten composition through a nozzle onto a substrate.

摘要: A two-part polyurethane adhesive exhibits excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates such as polypropylene. The adhesive consists of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component that are combined and cured to form the adhesive bond. The polyol component is characterized in containing a monoalcohol that has a molecular weight of 100 to 2000. The presence of the monoalcohol promotes strong bonding and a cohesive failure mode that is preferred in vehicular applications.

摘要: The present invention relates to coating compositions for wind turbine blades. The compositions are particularly useful as topcoats for wind blades and for Leading Edge Protection (LEP). The invention also relates to a wind blade coated with a coating composition of the invention and to a method for application of the coating composition and to a method for repairing and/or replacing the existing coating layer on a wind blade by application of a coating composition of the invention. The invention also relates to a kit of parts comprising the base composition and the curing agent used in the coating composition. The coating composition used for coating a wind blade comprises a base composition comprising a polyetheraspartic ester having the formula (I) below, wherein each R represents a linear or branched C1-C10 alkyl residue, such as a linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl residue, such as for example a methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl residue; and wherein X is a polyether. The coating composition further comprises a curing agent.

摘要: A method of forming an isocyanate-functional polymer component includes forming a first mixture by mixing a recycled polyurethane article and a first isocyanate component having isocyanate-functional groups. The first mixture is heated to a temperature sufficient to transform the recycled polyurethane article from a solid form to a liquid form and react the liquid recycled polyurethane component with the first isocyanate component to form an isocyanate-functional polymer component having an isocyanate-functional group content greater than zero and less than isocyanate-functional group content of the first isocyanate component. The formed isocyanate-functional polymer component may then be used for forming a polyurethane article or polyurethane foam article that is the reaction product of the formed isocyanate-functional polymer component, a second isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component having hydroxyl-functional groups.

摘要: Phenyl isocyanates are removed from a solvent stream obtained from an MDI and/or PMDI manufacturing process by reaction in the presence of a carbodiimidization catalyst to form the corresponding N,N-diphenylcarbodiimides. The N,N-diphenylcarbodiimides can be recycled into the MDI and/or PMDI manufacturing process where they can react with MDI and/or PMDI to form uretonimines. The uretonimines have at most minimal effect on the properties and usefulness of the MDI and/or PMDI product and so can be left in the MDI and/or PMDI product.

摘要: A polyurethane gel material includes an aliphatic polyisocyanate (A) having an average functionality of 2.3 or more and 3.2 or less, a polyol (B) having an average functionality of 2.0 or more and 2.3 or less, and a plasticizer (C) having an ester group. The aliphatic polyisocyanate (A) contains an isocyanurate derivative of an aliphatic diisocyanate and/or an alcoholic modified isocyanurate derivative of an aliphatic diisocyanate. The polyol (B) contains a polyoxyalkylene (carbon number of 2 to 3) polyol having an ethylene oxide content of 30% by mass or less, and/or a polytetramethylene ether glycol. The polyol (B) has an average hydroxyl value of 30 mgKOH/g or more and 70 mgKOH/g or less. A ratio of the plasticizer (C) per 100 parts by mass of the polyol component (B) is 50 parts by mass or more and 400 parts by mass or less.
