Abstract: A method for producing a decolorized polyester according to the present invention includes: a step of preparing a polyester colored with a colorant, and a decolorizing agent containing a glycol ether-type compound having a boiling point at atmospheric pressure of 160° C. or higher; and a step of removing the colorant, by bringing the decolorizing agent into contact at least once with the colored polyester while heating the decolorizing agent to a temperature equal to or lower than a melting point of the polyester, to thereby obtain the decolorized polyester.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an amphiphilic block copolymer represented by formula I, a preparation method thereof, and a nanomicelle drug delivery system formed from the copolymer and a poorly soluble drug. The amphiphilic block copolymer includes a hydrophilic chain segment, a hydrophobic chain segment, and a linker for linking the hydrophilic chain segment to the hydrophobic chain segment. The linker contains an unsaturated structure, which can enhance the interaction between the poorly soluble drug and the copolymer to improve the drug loading ability and stability of the nanomicelle. Abstract: Provided a method for separating PHA and PHA prepared therefrom. The method comprises the following steps: subjecting a PHA fermentation broth to solid-liquid separation to obtain a thallus precipitate; breaking cell walls of the thallus precipitate, and subjecting obtained wall-broken products to a plate and frame filtration to obtain PHA; a filter cloth for the plate and frame filtration is pre-coated with a PHA layer. The method adopts a plate and frame separation to replace the traditional centrifugal separation to prepare PHA, and the PHA layer is pre-coated on the filter cloth for the plate and frame filtration, thereby overcome the defects in the prior art such as high cost and operational difficulty caused by adopting multiple centrifugal separations; in addition, the method of the present disclosure also exhibits the advantages of high recovery rate of PHA and high purity of the prepared PHA product.

Abstract: A process to prepare a (iv) cyclic polyester oligomer composition includes a cyclic polyester oligomer having furanic units and two to five repeat units. The process includes (a) reacting a monomer composition including: (i) a bifunctional furan-derivative and (ii) a diol in an linear oligomerization step to produce a (iii) linear oligomer composition including a linear oligomer species, (b) reacting the (iii) linear oligomer composition in a distillation-assisted cyclization (DA-C) step to form a (iv) cyclic polyester oligomer composition and a (v) diol byproduct. The (v) diol byproduct is removed by evaporation in the distillation-assisted cyclization (DA-C) step.

Abstract: Provided herein is a bioresorbable polyester wherein the metal content of the polyester is >0 ppm and 0 ppm comprising the steps of: i) dissolving the polyester in an organic solvent to form a polyester-solvent solution, wherein the organic solvent comprises at least one heteroatom selected from oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur and phosphorus; ii) precipitating the polyester from the polyester-solvent solution by combining the polyester-solvent solution with an organic non-solvent, said non-solvent being an alcohol; and (iii) separating the precipitated polyester from the solvent and non-solvent to obtain a purified polyester.
