Abstract: Lignin is recovered from biomass or byproducts from biomass processing through the use of organic solvents and water while modifying the form or composition of the lignin. During the separation and recovery process, the lignin can be modified or integrated into a form which is more suitable for its intended use. As the lignin is suspended or is soluble within the organic solvent, the integration of materials or reactants may be more easily blended or dispersed within the lignin to improve performance, quality and overall production efficiency.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a flame-retardant nylon composite and use thereof, including components: 55 parts to 80 parts of a nylon resin; 1 part to 30 parts of a red phosphorus; and 0.01 part to 2 parts of a phenolic substance. According to the present invention, by adding a small amount of the phenolic substance to the red phosphorus flame-retardant nylon composite, phosphorus precipitation can be effectively inhibited, and a phosphine precipitation amount can be reduced to 30 ppm or less, while good electrical performances can be maintained, which is applicable in fields of connectors, contactors, etc. in electronic appliances.

Abstract: Provided is a curable silicone composition having excellent handleability, and curing properties during sealing due to good hot-melt properties and low melt viscosity, in addition to having excellent cured product mechanical strength and substrate bonding strength, making the composition suitable as a sealant for semiconductor devices. The curable silicone composition comprises: (A) a hot-melt organopolysiloxane resin containing M and T units in certain ratios and having alkenyl groups; (B) an organosiloxane compound containing a specific siloxane unit and containing 10 mass % or more of an alkenyl group; (C) an organohydrogensiloxane compound; (D) a hydrosilylation catalyst; and (E) a functional inorganic filler in an amount of 400 to 3,000 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the total of components (A) to (D). The composition is solid at 25° C. and has hot-melt properties at a temperature of 200° C. or lower.

The polyol material is selected from the group consisting of polycaprolactone polyol and polyether polyol. The chain extender is a glycol chain extender.
