    Abstract: The thermoplastic resin composition includes: a (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer obtained by polymerizing a vinyl monomer mixture containing 50% by mass or more and less than 80% by mass of a (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer and 12-39% by mass of an aromatic vinyl monomer; a hindered amine compound having a molecular weight of 200-1800; and an ultraviolet absorber compound having a maximum absorption wavelength at 250-300 nm. The thermoplastic resin composition optionally includes a graft copolymer, and the hindered amine compound is present in an amount of 0.4-1.8 parts by mass, the ultraviolet absorber compound is present in an amount of 0.1-1.6 parts by mass, and a sum of the amounts of the hindered amine compound and the ultraviolet absorber compound is not more than 2.0 parts by mass, each relative to 100 parts by mass of a combination of the (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer and the graft copolymer.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an elastomer product having at least one strength member ply embedded into a vulcanizable rubber compound, where the strength member ply is formed from a multitude of steel cords that each consist of at least two helically twisted filaments or at least two strands formed from two or more mutually helically twisted filaments, and the cords have an elongation at break of at least 5% and an elongation under a tensile stress of 100 N of at least 3.5%, and the vulcanizable rubber compound, as well as natural rubber and/or synthetic rubber, contains sulfur and/or sulfur donors and accelerators, and the elongation of the cords after complete vulcanization of the rubber compound under a tensile stress of 100 N is reduced by at least 10% compared to the state prior to the vulcanization.

    Abstract: There has been a demand for an optical film having excellent glass-range photoelastic coefficient and a polarizing plate which uses this optical film. The present invention provides an optical film which is characterized by containing an ester-based resin that contains 50% by mole or more of a fumaric acid ester residue unit represented by formula (1) and having a negative birefringence, and a photoelasticity regulator having a positive birefringence, and which is also characterized in that the absolute value of the glass-range photoelastic coefficient thereof is 5×10−12 Pa−1 or less. (In the formula, each of R1 and R2 independently represents a linear alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, a branched alkyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, or a cyclic alkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms.)
