摘要: Disclosed is a micro-surfacing sealing coat mixture, comprising the following raw materials in parts by weight: 10-20 parts of a cationic emulsified asphalt, 5-7 parts of an ethylene-1-octene copolymer, 3-6 parts of an organic silicone resin, 8-12 parts of a filler, 80-90 parts of an aggregate, 2-4 parts of a ditertiarybutyl peroxide, 20-30 parts of water, and 0.5-2 parts of an accelerator. The method for preparing the micro-surfacing sealing coat mixture comprises: weighing raw materials other than the filler, aggregate and water, adding to a high-speed shear emulsifier and mixing at a temperature of 170-175° C. for 20-35 min, then continuously shearing at 3000-3500 r/min for 60 min to obtain a modified emulsified asphalt; cooling the modified emulsified asphalt to 20-30° C., adding the filler, aggregate and water thereto, and adding the resulting mixture to a mixer to mix evenly to obtain the micro-surfacing sealing coat mixture.

摘要: The present invention provides additive compound for warm mix asphalt (WMA) for the paving of road surfaces, whereby the additive compounds facilitate the mixing, lay down and compaction of asphalt mixes at low temperatures while retaining the mechanical properties of the asphalt composition. Further, the present invention provides a process of synthesis of the additive compounds. Additionally, the present invention provides a warm mix asphalt formulation involving the additive compounds and a method of preparation thereof. The chemical additives of the present invention are liquid surfactants that ensure reduction of internal friction during manufacturing, and subsequently formulations comprising these chemical additives results in reduction of compaction temperature of the bituminous mixtures.

摘要: This invention provides for a method for producing polymer modified asphalt (PMA) using base asphalt (bitumen) blended with partially air blown (“puffed”) asphalt which is further modified with polymers and additives to attain desired properties for industrial applications. The partially blown or blown asphalt is oxidized to a target softening point to suit the application. In another embodiment, the base asphalt is blended with hard PEN asphalt (“Zero PEN Asphalt”) which is further modified with polymers and additives to attain desired properties for industrial applications. By using the partially oxidized asphalt or blending the base asphalt with partially oxidized asphalt or hard PEN asphalt, the amount of polymers and additives needed to achieve desired properties and performance are significantly reduced. In fact, this technique can be used to attain polymer modified asphalt having a highly desirable combination of characteristics that could not otherwise be attained using the base asphalt.

摘要: A method for generating a polymer modified oxidized asphalt is described. The method includes receiving a plurality of polymerizing concentrate components including an aromatic oil, a saturated polymer, an oxidized polymer, and polyisobutylene (“PIB”). The polymerizing concentrate components are then heated to between 350° F. and 450° F. with mixing for between 1 and 7 hours to generate a polymerizing concentrate. The method then mixes the polymerizing concentrate with oxidized asphalt and heated to between 350° F. and 450° F. with mixing for between 15 minutes and 1 hour to generate the polymer modified oxidized asphalt.

摘要: A receiver for irregularly shaped bricks cast from non-volatile bituminous material includes a receiver with a specialized storage chamber that can receive viscous bituminous material and a concave lid preferably modified with a radiant heating system that can accept and melt or soften arriving bricks. The lid includes multiple openings or other delivery routes that funnel the melted bituminous material to the chamber below. The radiant heating system can be electrical where cables or grids are embedded in the lid or where conductive materials coat or are distributed throughout the lid. Alternatively, the radiant heating system can be hydronic where channels or conduits are embedded in the lid to circulate heated liquid such as water or water mixed with propylene glycol. The receiver can also include blenders, skimmers, and additional heaters to further skim, blend, or process the bituminous material collected in the chamber.
