Abstract: The present application pertains to dispersions comprising oxidized, discrete carbon nanotubes and high-surface area carbon nanotubes. The oxidized, discrete carbon nanotubes comprise an interior and exterior surface, each surface comprising an interior surface oxidized species content and an exterior surface oxidized species content. The interior surface oxidized species content differs from the exterior surface oxidized species content by at least 20%, and as high as 100%. The high-surface area nanotubes are generally single-wall nanotubes. The BET surface area of the high-surface area nanotubes is from about 550 m2/g to about 1500 m2/g according to ASTM D6556-16. The aspect ratio is at least about 500 up to about 6000. The dispersions comprise from about 0.1 to about 30% by weight nanotubes based on the total weight of the dispersion.

Abstract: Provided herein are methods and compositions comprising a non-toxic ferromagnetic ink composition. Also provided herein are plastic objects containing a surface coating of a food-safe ferromagnetic ink composition. The coating imparts functionality to a plastic object such that the object is capable of being mechanically separated from waste stream using a commercial magnetic separator. The food-safe ink composition, which can be printed using high-speed flexographic, intaglio, offset printing or pad printing, combined with heat transfer printing or hot foil stamping consists of an ingestible magnetically susceptible pigment capable of rendering the printed template with magnetically active properties. The surface of the plastic object described can consist of geometric designs which increase printable surface area without significant changes in dimensions of the said object.

Abstract: The invention relates to printable ion-conductive and viscosity-tunable inks based on two-dimensional (2D) insulators, forming methods and applications of the inks. The 2D insulating material based printable ink includes at least one solvent; and an exfoliated composition dispersed in the at least one solvent. The exfoliated composition includes a 2D insulating material and a dispersant and stabilizing agent. The printed structures of the 2D insulating material based printable ink possess high ionic conductivity, chemical and thermal stability, and electrically insulating character, which are an ideal set of characteristics for printable battery components such as separators and solid electrolytes.
