摘要： The present technology describes various embodiments of systems and methods for maintaining a flat push hot car. In some embodiments, the flat push hot car includes an at least partially enclosed hot box having an interior portion, an exterior portion, a base, and a plurality of sidewalls extending upward from the base. The hot box can he coupled to or integrated with a fluid distribution system. The fluid distribution system can include a spray manifold having one or more inlets configured to release a fluid directed toward the sidewalls of the interior portion so as to provide regional cooling to the hot box.

摘要： This patent of invention is related to a process and a furnace developed for production of charcoal with recovery of gases, tar and pyroligneous extract. The unity system is composed by a metallic furnace, a loading platform, a carbonization platform and unloading platform. For continuous generation of gases, the process operates with multiple carbonization platforms and one or more furnaces for carbonization platform. The furnace is provided with air inputs in strategic side points and mechanism for relieving pressure. The carbonization system is composed by an exhauster, special pipes for conducting the gases, and devices for the recovery of condensable. The gases generated in the process are directed to a burner, a gasifier or directly in a boiler to generate thermal and/or electrical energy. The technology presents, exclusively, a gravimetric yield in fuel gas superior to 60% and a productivity on charcoal above 800 kg/h, so that each operating cycle of the furnace takes less than 5 hours. The coal is discharged hot, after carbonization and loaded on wooden billets immediately after unloading. The process combines technical, economic, operational, and environmentally viable solutions.

摘要： A method and a device for breaking up a fresh and hot coke charge in a receiving trough having mobile plate segments, the coke charge being conveyed to a quenching tower in the receiving trough of a flatbed transport car in which the coke charge is cooled down to ambient temperatures by mobile plate segments so that the coke structure is broken up and crevice-type cavities are formed in the compacted coke charge. These crevice-type cavities then allow an increased amount of water to flow into the interior of the coke charge during the subsequent quenching step, resulting in a high profitability of the method, a higher coke quality and a reduced burden on the environment due to reduced quenching times and lower water consumption. A device for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

摘要： A coke box for dry quenching and indirectly cooling a charge of coke received from the discharge end of a coke oven. The coke box includes a chamber for receiving the coke and a seal engageable with the discharge end of the oven to substantially prevent the escape of combustible gases and particulate matter therefrom. A door encloses the coke within the receiving chamber to substantially isolate the coke from the atmosphere and an external cooling media which is passed over the exterior surfaces of the receiving chamber to indirectly cool the charge of coke enclosed in the receiving chamber. A burner chamber is connected to the receiving chamber for burning combustible gases and particulate matter exhausted from the receiving chamber. Preferably, the burner includes a venturi tube and an air inlet nozzle for drawing atmospheric air into the burner to mix with the combustible gases and enhance the combustion thereof.

摘要： An apparatus for stopping a truck such as a larry car for coke oven operation at a preselected position in relation to an object such as a coke oven. The apparatus includes stopping members such as blocks placed along the path of movement of the truck and a clamping mechanism carried by the truck and adapted to cooperate with one of the blocks to locate and stop the truck. The clamping mechanism includes a pair of levers swingable about axes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the truck by the operation of a fluid-operated cylinder and adapted to clamp the selected block from the front and rear sides of the block. In operation, the truck is temporarily stopped by a brake at such a position that the selected block is positioned between two levers and then the levers are swung toward each other to clamp the block therebetween to locate and stop the truck precisely at the designated position. During the running of the truck, the levers are laterally swung to clear the blocks.

摘要： A coke car is traversed along a battery of coke ovens and receives hot coke discharged through a fall space in an overlying smoke collector hood. The car is moved slowly only a short distance along the battery during the coke pushing operation while it is loaded wih coke at one end of the car and progresses slowly to the other end thereof. Horizontal end sealing plates are fitted to the car and the hood at the level of the top edges of the end walls on each side of the car and hood. The total of the length of the two sealing plates is not less than the distance traveled by the car during coke pushing. Gaps are left between the bottom edges of the side walls of the smoke hood or extension plates disposed thereon and the sealing plates on the coke car. The gaps allow entry of air into the hood for uniform extraction of the emissions formed during the coke pushing operation. In addition, gaps of equal width can also be left between the top edges of the longitudinal walls of the car and hood.

摘要： A coke car is moved along a battery of coke ovens to a location for receiving coke from an oven chamber while the car is stationary and for moving to beneath a quenching tower. The coke car includes a generally square box-like container having side walls sealed with a floor that is pivoted about a horizontal axis to bear against seal members. The horizontal axis is spaced from the wall of the car adjacent the coke bench by a distance less than the distance between the axis and the wall of the car adjacent the oven platform. The seal members are disposed on the top of part of the floor which moves away from a side wall during pivotal movement and seal members are disposed on the bottom of a floor part which moves upwardly along a wall of the container during pivotal movement.

摘要： A coke quenching car is disclosed wherein the hopper is pivotally mounted to a superstructure continuation of the car frame, at points on both ends of the hopper adjacent to its top side which faces the coke side of a coke oven. A means for pivoting the top of the hopper upwards and towards the coke side of the coke oven is included. A discharge gate is attached to the bottom side of the hopper running the length of the hopper and hinged to the lower edge of the hopper side which faces the coke side of the coke oven. As the car is spotted at the coke wharf, the means for lifting pivots the hopper upward, aligning the discharge gate with the coke wharf; the gate is then swung downward to form a chute to the coke wharf. The contents of the hopper descend the inclined plane thus emptying the coke quench car.
