摘要: A method for grilling food on grill includes adding chipped wood charcoal having a size of at least one-fourth an inch in dimension through a food-supporting grill grate onto a grid underlying the food-supporting grill grate. The food-supporting grill grate comprising spaced bars for supporting food and providing a cooking area, and the chipped wood charcoal can be added to the grid directly beneath any portion of the cooking area by passing the chipped wood charcoal between any adjacent ones of the spaced bars. The chipped wood charcoal is ignited and food is placed on the food-supporting grill grate over the chipped wood charcoal. The food can then be cooked on the food-supporting grill grate. Without lifting any portion of the food-supporting grill grate and during the cooking of the food, more chipped wood charcoal is added through the the spaced bars of the food-supporting grill grate. The chipped wood charcoal can be added to the grid directly beneath any region of the cooking area by passing the chipped wood charcoal between any of the adjacent ones of the spaced bars.

摘要: A method for regulating a wood burner that burns wood pellets. For a batch of pellets the method includes, determining the air flowrate and fuel flowrate parameters according to the levels of combustion of the pellets in a defined pellet-fired burner, creating at least one curve, identifying the optimal air and fuel parameters, recording these optimal parameters, the type of burner, the batch number, possibly extrapolating to other pellet-fired burners, recording these extrapolated optimal parameters, labelling each bag with information relating to these optimal parameters, when using a bag of pellets in a domestic pellet-fired burner, reading the information using reading means, and regulating the domestic burner by acting on regulating means that regulate the supply of air and fuel to the burner.

摘要: This invention provides processes and systems for converting biomass into high carbon biogenic reagents that are suitable for a variety of commercial applications. Some embodiments employ pyrolysis in the presence of an inert gas to generate hot pyrolyzed solids, condensable vapors, and non-condensable gases, followed by separation of vapors and gases, and cooling of the hot pyrolyzed solids in the presence of the inert gas. Additives may be introduced during processing or combined with the reagent, or both. The biogenic reagent may include at least 70 wt %, 80 wt %, 90 wt %, 95 wt %, or more total carbon on a dry basis. The biogenic reagent may have an energy content of at least 12,000 Btu/lb, 13,000 Btu/lb, 14,000 Btu/lb, or 14,500 Btu/lb on a dry basis. The biogenic reagent may be formed into fine powders, or structural objects.

摘要: A method to create a natural charcoal briquette is described herein. A wood material is collected and impurities are removed from the wood material. The wood material is dried at a temperature in a range of approximately 150° C. to approximately 200° C. to reach a moisture level in a range of approximately 3.7% to approximately 5.0%. The dried wood material is compressed in a shaped mold at approximately 300° C. and under 40 tons of pressure to form a charcoal briquette. The charcoal briquette is carbonized at a temperature in a range of approximately 700° C. to approximately 800° C. in a range of approximately 14 days to approximately 17 days. The charcoal briquette is then cooled for approximately 2 days prior to use or packaging.

摘要: A biofuel product having constituents selected from the group including fat, oil and/or grease components. A container is formed of a biodegradable material having a multiplicity of openings of a size and shape adapted for allowing the fat, oil and/or grease components to pass through the openings to an interior area of the container. An absorbent capture material is positioned in the container and holds a quantity of the fat, oil and/or grease. The container, capture material and fat, oil and/or grease collectively include the biofuel product.

摘要: A method of preparing non-volatile bituminous material in solid form includes first accessing molds having mold cavities defining an irregularly shaped brick having a plurality of non-planar surfaces and preparing the bituminous material for casting by heating it until it is suitably viscous for casting and optionally blending it with an additive. Then, the molds can be filled with the bituminous materials, preferably using a retractable conduit that progressively fills each mold cavity from its bottom to its top. Next, the bituminous material in the molds is solidified until substantially solid bricks are formed. Optionally, a skeleton with optional additional buoyant features can be placed in each mold cavity prior to casting so that the resulting brick has increased buoyancy throughout, and the skeleton and any buoyant features can be customized according to the needs of the customer. The resulting bricks can be removed for transport.
