摘要: Genetically modified CCNT1 and XPO1 genes encoding proteins that inhibit virus infection in cells. The genetically modified CCNT1 gene encodes a protein with a C261Y substitution with respect to the human CCNT1 protein. The genetically modified XPO1 gene encodes a protein with P411T, M412V, and/or F414S substitutions with respect to the human XPO1 protein. The genetically modified CCNT1 and XPO1 genes can be introduced in cells. The cells comprising the genetically modified CCNT1 and XPO1 genes can be introduced in a subject with a virus infection to treat the infection.

摘要: Host cells that are engineered to produce benzylisoquinoline alkaloid (BIAS) precursors, such as norcoclaurine (NC) and norlaudanosoline (NL), are provided. The host cells may have one or more engineered modifications selected from: a feedback inhibition alleviating mutation in a enzyme gene; a transcriptional modulation modification of a biosynthetic enzyme gene; an inactivating mutation in an enzyme; and a heterologous coding sequence. Also provided are methods of producing a BIA of interest or a precursor thereof using the host cells and compositions, e.g., kits, systems etc., that find use in methods of the invention.

摘要: The present disclosure provides use of a Chaetomium globosum strain in controlling Fusarium crown rot (FCR) of wheat. The C. globosum strain under the deposit designation of 12XP1-2-3 is deposited at China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) on Jan. 23, 2019 with an accession number of CGMCC No. 17183. Field experiments conclude that coating of wheat seeds with Chaetomium globosum strain 12XP1-2-3 can reduce diseased stem rate, disease rating, and disease index by 19.0%-41.3%, 43.7%, and 4.7%-45.4%, respectively.
