摘要: The present invention refer to a process for the production of microbial cellulose using a waste textile material, for example 100% cotton or blended cotton/polyester/elastane waste textile, said waste textile material comprising cellulose, comprising the following steps: providing an amount of said waste textile material; pre-treating said waste textile material with an aqueous solution comprising NaOH and urea, to obtain a pre-treated fabric, wherein said step of treating said waste textile with an aqueous solution comprising NaOH and urea is carried out at a temperature ranging from −25° C. to +30° C.; treating said pre-treated fabric with cellulase enzymes, to convert said cellulose into glucose, whereby a mixture including glucose is obtained; preparing a culture medium comprising said mixture including glucose; inoculating said culture medium with microbial cellulose producing microorganisms; and incubating said microbial cellulose producing microorganisms to obtain microbial cellulose.

摘要: Hydrothermal pretreatment of mechanically compressed straw in unagitated reactors provides a simple and inexpensive solution to poor C5 monomer yields with autohydrolysis processes. Unlike raw straw, compressed straw pellets or briquettes can be pretreated on commercial scale using unagitated batch reactors or simplified unagitated continuous systems. The chemistry of hydrothermal pretreatment is thereby altered such that loss of C5 sugars to unwanted byproduct reactions is reduced. With compressed straw, water content can be introduced within the reactor while it is pressurized, which reduces energy costs and capital expense. Provided are methods of processing straw feedstocks using semi-continuous or continuous systems and a pretreatment reactor adapted to processes compressed straw with high throughput through a small reactor volume in which water content is added within the reactor under pressure.

摘要: Provided are a biomimetic silicon mineralized microcapsule immobilized multi-enzyme, a preparation method therefor, and a method for producing tagatose by using same. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) pre-mixing glucan phosphorylase, phosphoglucomutase, phosphoglucoisomerase, 6-phosphate tagatose 4-position epimerase and 6-phosphate tagatose phosphatase solutions, then adding the mixture to a calcium chloride solution, and then pouring same into a sodium carbonate solution, stirring and separating same to obtain calcium carbonate microspheres containing a multi-enzyme; (2) mixing the calcium carbonate microspheres with a polyethyleneimine solution to obtain polyethyleneimine-calcium carbonate microspheres after separation; (3) mixing the polyethyleneimine-calcium carbonate microspheres with a silicate solution to obtain biomimetic silicon mineralized-calcium carbonate microspheres after separation; and (4) mixing the biomimetic silicon mineralized-calcium carbonate microspheres with ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid for reaction to remove calcium carbonate, and separating same to obtain a biomimetic silicon mineralized microcapsule immobilized multi-enzyme.

摘要: The present disclosure provides methods for generating sugars from a cellulosic biomass. The methods combine treatment of the biomass using a high-shear milling device and saccharification of the biomass to partially hydrolyze the biomass. The biomass can be saccharified either after or simultaneously with the high-shear milling treatment. The partially hydrolyzed biomass is then separated into a solids stream with saccharification enzymes, and a liquid stream with sugars. The solids stream and associated enzymes are further incubated under saccharification conditions to produce additional sugars, or are recycled and added to fresh biomass, which is saccharified under high-shear milling conditions. The methods result in improved conversion of cellulosic biomass to glucose.

摘要: Cotton-containing textiles, such as “trash” feedstock in terms of end-of-life-cotton textiles, may be used to produce sugar without the same kinds of harsh pretreatments used for other biomasses, such as corn, grass sources, or wood. Disclosed is a process for production of sugar from a cotton-containing textile waste fabric comprising optionally mechanically pretreating the cotton-containing textile, pretreating the cotton-containing textile with an acid pretreatment to form a slurry, cooling the slurry, adding at least one base to the slurry, adding at least one additional acid to the slurry to form a buffer in situ, adding a hydrolysis enzyme, and optionally filtering the slurry.
