    摘要: A heating system for heat treating a continuous sheet-like material includes an input end and an output end and a path defined therebetween that extends between the input and output ends for the material to be treated. At least one section of the heating system includes an upper movable heater and a lower stationary heater disposed on confrontingly opposite sides of the material path. A heater lifter is connected to the movable upper heater for operatively displacing the upper heater between a first position for imparting a curing type of heat treatment and a second position for imparting an annealing type of heat treatment to the continuous sheet material as it is advanced through the heating system.

    摘要: In the furnace a plurality of floaters are arranged in series in a direction in which the metal strip is transferred. The strip is fed through the furnace, floated by these floaters. A test floater is installed along the strip transfer pathway. The height of the strip floated by the test floater is detected by a float sensor. The gas pressure of the test floater detected when the test floater floats the strip to an appropriate height is reflected on the gas pressures of the in-furnace floaters. As a result, the in-furnace floaters float the strip to the appropriate height.

    摘要: The present invention relates to method and apparatus for heating a strip of metallic material in a continuous annealing furnace and more particularly to an improvement relating to a method and apparatus for heating a strip of metallic material in a continuous annealing furnace in which annealing of the strip is continuously carried out in such a manner that a gas, serving to adjust temperature of the strip, is blown toward the strip through a plurality of gas jet nozzles which are arranged on one side or both sides of the strip, wherein the temperature and flow rate of the strip are properly determined to a required level in response to the changing of the operating conditions such as the heat cycle, line speed, thickness of strip, width of strip and the like. Further, the present invention relates to a method and apparatus for heating a strip of metallic material in a continuous annealing furnace, wherein the temperature of the strip is controlled to reach a target temperature by heating or cooling the strip by means of a gas jet or the like having excellent respondency at a part of the heating zone in the continuous annealing furnace whereby irregular annealing of the strip is effectively inhibited.

    摘要: Apparatus for conveying strip materials while floating them whereby a strip is allowed to pass between a pair of plenum chambers vertically spaced apart from each other and provided with blowoff openings through which gases are blown against the strip to float it as well as heat or cool the same. After the gases have been blown against the strip, a portion of them streams in one direction crossing the predetermined conveyance course of the strip, while the other portion thereof streams in the opposite direction. A pair of flow-rate control means are provided in conjunction with the plenum chambers and in opposite positions so as to vary the amount of gases streaming in said one direction in relation to that of those streaming in the other direction, when the strip has taken a winding course during conveyance, so that the strip is restored to its predetermined course of conveyance.

    摘要: During the process of movement of an aluminum strip in a floating mode, the strip is first heated and then cooled for the annealing. In cooling the aluminum strip, the aluminum strip is first cooled to a predetermined temperature at an easy cooling temperature gradient, and subsequently cooled to a room temperature at a sharper cooling temperature gradient than the former. During the process of the cooling, a significant thermal stress is not produced in the aluminum strip, and the aluminum strip is cooled without being wrinkled.

The treatment plant comprises a series of blow boxes arranged in sections with the boxes in each section having parallel plane perforated surfaces on opposite sides of the web path. The perforations are graduated in degree with a high degree of perforation on one side of the web path being opposed by a low degree of perforation on the other side of the web path, and vice versa, so that the web assumes a wave shape between the first and second planes, the wave staying with its nodes in definite positions closer to the one plane opposite the highly perforated group in the second plane and closer to the second plane opposite the highly perforated group in the one plane.

The hollow box is also fitted laterally on at least one side thereof relative to a midplane (Q) perpendicular to the plane in the strip with a movable shutter member having the function of selectively shutting some of the blow orifices in order to adapt the width of the blow zone to the width of the corresponding strip material. The movable shutter member has an edge adjacent to the inside surface of the wall fitted with the blow orifices, and an edge adjacent to a side wall of the hollow box.

    摘要: An improved pressure pad is provided for stably floating thin metal strip while heat treating the strip. The pressure pad includes an oval pad housing which is slitted adjacent the strip. An elliptical plenum chamber is disposed within the pad housing with a portion thereof spanning the slit and forming with the slit margins a leading and a trailing slot jet nozzle. Opposing jet streams of gaseous medium exit the slot jet nozzles and collide with one another to provide a zone of pressure which stably supports the strip.
