Abstract: The present invention relates to a hot press formed member. A hot press formed member according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a steel sheet; and a plating layer on the steel sheet, wherein a number of voids per 1000 μm2 of an area from an interface between the plating layer and the steel sheet to 15 μm is zero and wherein a concentration gradient at a section having an Fe content of 45% to 80% in the plating layer in a thickness direction from a surface of the plating layer according to a result of GDS analysis is 7 wt %/μm or less.

Abstract: A hydrocarbon fluid containment article having a wall with a surface that is wetted by hydrocarbon fluid. The surface includes an anti-coking coating. The anti-coking coating includes a copper salt, a silver salt, or a combination thereof. A gas turbine engine component including a wall having a first surface and an anti-coking coating on the first surface of the wall that is wetted by hydrocarbon fluid. The anti-coking coating including a copper salt, a silver salt, or a combination thereof that prevents the formation of gum or coke on a surface thereon. Methods for reducing the deposition of thermal decomposition products on a wall of an article are also provided.

Abstract: A plumbing fixture having a multi-color appearance includes a first portion including a first finish having a first appearance and a second portion including a second portion having a second appearance that differs from the first appearance. The plumbing fixture further includes a transition region between the first portion and the second portion, wherein the appearance of the third region is graduated from the first appearance to the second appearance between a first end of the transition region adjacent the first portion and a second end of the transition region adjacent the second portion. The plumbing fixture has an ombre appearance as a result of the graduated transition between the first portion and the second portion.

Abstract: A method of producing a hot-rolled steel sheet and a method for producing a cold-rolled full hard steel sheet are provided. The methods comprising heating a steel slab having a composition containing, in terms of mass %, C: 0.010% or more and 0.150% or less, Si: 0.20% or less, Mn: 1.00% or less, P: 0.100% or less, S: 0.0500% or less, Al: 0.001% or more and 0.100% or less, N: 0.0100% or less, and the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities, in which 0.002%≤[% P]+[% S]≤0.070% ([% M] denotes a content (mass %) of M element in steel) is satisfied.

Abstract: An oxide layer thickness measurement device according to the present invention stores, for each of layer thickness measurement sub-ranges constituting a layer thickness measurement range, layer thickness conversion information representing a correlation between a layer thickness and an emitting light luminance where a ratio of a change in the emitting light luminance to a change in the layer thickness in the layer thickness measurement sub-range falls within a set extent. The device includes a plurality of emitting light luminance measurement parts for measuring emitting light luminances of a surface of a steel sheet at respective measurement wavelengths different from each other. Calculated in connection with each of the emitting light luminances of the surface of the steel sheet measured by the emitting light luminance measurement parts are the layer thickness corresponding to the measured emitting light luminance and a ratio at the layer thickness by using the layer thickness conversion information corresponding to each of the emitting light luminance measurement parts. The calculated layer thickness is extracted as a candidate value for an actual thickness layer when the calculated ratio is within the set extent assigned for the layer thickness conversion information.
