摘要: The electrophoretically coating of a conductive workpiece with an epoxy resin and then depositing a fluoropolymer top coat on said epoxy resin is provided. The method includes electrodepositing a first epoxy resin layer, which is subsequently at least partially cured, and then depositing a fluoropolymer onto the workpiece as a second layer. Subsequently, the workpiece is further cured.

摘要: A three-dimensional geometric photonic crystal and a method of fabricating the photonic crystal are disclosed. The photonic crystal includes a geometric structure having a plurality of electrophoretic self-assembled particles and the plurality of particles are periodically arranged at any cross sections of the geometric structure. The method includes preparing an electrophoresis deposition suspension, installing first and second electrodes in the electrophoresis deposition suspension with the first electrode being encircled by the second electrode, and applying a voltage to the first electrode and the second electrode to form an electric field between the first and second electrodes, such that particles in the electrophoresis deposition suspension are electrophoretic self-assembled, and a periodically arranged geometric structure is formed. A photonic crystal thus may have a three-dimensional geometric structure in any shape.

摘要: A method for the electrophoretic coating of workpieces with a coating medium, in particular lacquer, and a coating installation are described. In the method, at least one workpiece is immersed in the coating medium. With a voltage source, a d.c. voltage is applied between the workpiece and at least one electrode immersed in the coating medium. The d.c. voltage is increased continuously, in an essentially stepless manner, throughout virtually the entire coating operation in such a way that the coating current density on the surface of the workpiece remains essentially constant over time.

摘要: The invention relates to electrophoretic immersion lacquering of objects, e.g. the bodies of automotive vehicles, wherein the object which is to be lacquered is immersed into lacquer immersion basin containing a lacquer fluid. An electric field is produced by the object in its capacity as an electrode with at least one counter electrode. In order to determine the thickness of the lacquer layer applied in said manner, the electric charge flowing through the object during the immersion lacquering process and the surface of the object exposed to the lacquer fluid are determined in order to determine the thickness of the lacquer layer therefrom. The thickness of the lacquer coating can thus be determined during the immersion lacquering process, resulting in fewer rejects.

摘要: A processing solution tank of forming an agitating flow by flowing and circulating a processing solution in directions opposite to each other between the side of a liquid surface and the side of a tank bottom, in which a guide plate substantially of an arcuate shape is formed to an end of the tank situated at least to the downstream on the side of the liquid surface or the downstream on the side of the tank bottom in the agitating flow for reversing the flow downward to the tank bottom or upward to the liquid surface, and a swirl chamber having a swirl generating portion of a substantially arcuate face for capturing dusts is provided at the bottom of the tank, whereby high quality surface treatment, for example, electrodeposition coating can be conducted by uniformly stirring the processing solution so as not to cause backflow or turbulence in the processing solution tank while dipping a work on a conveyor in the processing solution.

摘要: In a preferred embodiment, the objects to be transported, in particular car bodies on sleds are each suspended by four independent pendle arms from two symmetrical conveyors which travel through the installation under the control of synchronized driving means to pick up said objects in a loading station and transport them individually to an unloading station. In each conveyor, said pendle arms are secured to fixed positions distributed along a cable which is moved by said driving means while being maintained tensioned on guide wheels defining a predetermined transport circuit. The loads suspended by the pendle arms are fully supported by said cable between said guide wheels, said cable thus constituting both traction and suspension carrier means for said objects. In practice, each conveyor comprises two parallel cables and the pendles are secured to them hanging therebetween.
