摘要: A creping blade having a first side face, a second side face, and a shelf extending from the first side face to the second side face, with a scraping edge at the intersection of the first side face and the shelf. The shelf has a first section having a first coefficient of friction and a second section have a second coefficient of friction and the second coefficient of friction is greater than the first coefficient of friction.

摘要: The invention relates to a doctor device, associated with a contact surface, in particular a rotating roller. The doctor device has a doctor blade, provided for placement against the roller, for bringing the doctor blade into contact with the roller by way of a pressurized fluid. At least one sensor is provided on the doctor blade, for generating a measured value for the contact pressure of the doctor when it is placed against the roller. There is a control unit which controls the speed at which the doctor can be placed against the contact surface, in particular the roller.

摘要: In a general aspect, a coating blade for application of coating color to a fibrous web can include an elongate substrate having a longitudinal edge. Within an operating zone of the coating blade intended for contact with a coating color, the elongate substrate can include a longitudinal wear-resistant deposit adjacent to the longitudinal edge. The coating blade, within the operating zone, can also include a longitudinal masking deposit adjoining the longitudinal wear-resistant deposit.

摘要: The current method relates to an on-line characterization of paper or paper products, such as tissue or other crepe paper products. The method uses an imaging source wherein one or more images are obtained of the sheets surface or topographical area or region, or the image is of an edge of a formed sheet. The one or more images are enhanced and analyzed using various techniques and metrics for characterizing the structure of the formed sheet. The information provides for real time adjustments on the machine.

摘要: The invention relates to a system (1) and a method for collecting and handling dust in a paper-making environment. The system (1) comprises a source of underpressure (2) and an elongated collector (4) that extends along a longitudinal axis and which elongated collector (4) is connected to the source of underpressure (2) through at least one suction duct (7) such that underpressure can be generated inside the elongated collector (4). The elongated collector (4) has an inlet (5) through which dust-laden air can enter the elongated collector (4) and an exit opening (6) leading to the suction duct (7) through which exit opening (6) dust-laden air can be evacuated from the elongated collector (4). A source of water (8) is connected by at least one water supply duct (10) to the elongated collector (4) such that water from the source of water (8) can be introduced into the elongated collector so that dust in the dust-laden air can be exposed to and mix with the water introduced into the elongated collector (4). A flow meter (12) is functionally connected to the system (1) to measure at least one of a flow of water from the source of water (8) to the elongated collector (4) or a flow of water exiting from the elongated collector (4) through the exit opening (6) of the elongated collector (4) and arranged to send a signal indicating a numerical value for a flow of water that reaches or leaves the elongated collector (4) such that this value can be compared to a predetermined minimum value. The system is used to carry out the inventive method.

摘要: A blade for creping a paper web from a Yankee cylinder surface is made of a steel substrate having a thickness of 0.7 mm-2 mm. The steel substrate is covered by a cermet coating that forms a working edge adapted for contact with the surface and a web impact area upon which the web impacts during creping. The cermet coating includes chromium carbides and tungsten carbides in a nickel based metal matrix. The cermet coating has a porosity of 1100 HV0.3.
