Abstract: The embossing device includes one or more cameras with respective lighting and image acquiring systems to acquire images of one or more plies of the produced cellulose web material. The images can be used to detect any defect in the produced material and to alarm, or signal the need for intervention on an embossing device. Based on the defects on the product detected by processing the acquired images, it is also possible to directly intervene on functional units of the embossing device, to remove or reduce the defects.

Abstract: The present invention provides a wet-laid tissue product comprising regenerated cellulose fibers that can provide 25 percent or less of the total weight of the wet-laid tissue product. The regenerated cellulose fibers can have a linear density less than about 1.5 dtex and a fiber length of less than 6.0 mm. The wet-laid tissue product can provide improvements in softness at a given strength.

Abstract: A barrier board has a first layer and is intended for foodstuff packaging material. The main raw material of the first layer is chemical pulp, the SR grinding value of which is over 50 and the weight per square meter is over 90 g. One application is where there are at least two layers and the main raw material of the first layer is chemical pulp, the grinding SR value of the chemical pulp is over 50 and the main raw material of the second layer is chemical pulp, mechanical pulp, CTMP mass or semi-chemical pulp. When the raw material is chemical pulp, its grinding SR value is over 35. If the raw material condition is fulfilled the grinding SR values of the first layer and the second layer are the other way around than what has been defined before.

Abstract: Corrugated paper includes first and second sheets of paper; and a layer of structured paper disposed between the first and second sheets of paper. The layer of structured paper includes cells, in which at least some of the cells are negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) cells. Each NPR cell includes top and bottom walls, and side walls angled inwards toward a central portion of the NPR cell, such that application of a compressive force between the top and bottom walls of the NPR cell causes a lateral dimension of the NPR cell between opposite side walls to decrease. The NPR cells exhibit a Poisson's ratio of between 0 and −1.
