Abstract:
A working machine includes a machine body, an engine on the machine body, a motor/generator to perform an assisting action in which the motor/generator functions as a motor to assist the engine in driving and an electricity generating action in which the motor/generator functions as a generator to generate electricity using power from the engine, a working device to function using power from the engine and the motor/generator, a work operation actuator for operation of the working device, an action controller to cause the assisting action to be performed when a rotation speed of the engine is equal to or less than a first rotation speed and cause the electricity generating action to be performed when the rotation speed of the engine is equal to or greater than a second rotation speed greater than the first rotation speed, and a speed controller to change the first rotation speed or the second rotation speed according to an operation amount of the work operation actuator.
Abstract:
“There is disclosed an excavation apparatus (5), such as an underwater excavation apparatus, having means for producing, in use, at least one vortex, spiral or turbulent flow in a laminar flow of fluid, e.g. water. The excavation apparatus (5) comprises a rotor (10) having a rotor rotation axis (A), wherein, in use, flow of fluid passedpast or across the rotor (10) is at a first angle (α) from the axis of rotation (A). The excavation apparatus (5) comprises the rotor (5) and means or an arrangement for dampening reactive torque on the apparatus (5) caused by rotation of the rotor (10), in use. The turbulent flow is provided within, such as within a (transverse) cross-section, of the laminar flow.”
Abstract:
A method for providing a machine operator with an augmented reality view of an environment includes determining a location and orientation of a vehicle. An eye position and gaze of an operator of the vehicle are also determined. Job information to be displayed to the operator of the vehicle is determined based on the location of the vehicle and the orientation of the vehicle. The job information is displayed to the operator based on the eye position and gaze of the operator of the vehicle. In one embodiment, environmental features that can be seen through the windscreen are determined. The job information displayed to the operator is modified based on the environmental features.
Abstract:
A display for a construction machine includes: a metal case that is detachably supported on a construction machine frame via a universal joint (a joint member); a liquid crystal display (a display unit) that is attached to the metal case; and a control board that is attached to the metal case and is configured to perform a display control on the liquid crystal display.
Abstract:
An industrial machine and a method of controlling an industrial machine, the industrial machine including a dipper supported by a dipper handle. The method may include determining an operating phase of the industrial machine, in a first operating phase of the industrial machine, limiting, with at least one controller, a reach of the dipper handle, and in a second operating phase of the industrial machine, enabling, with the at least one controller, an extended reach of the dipper handle greater than the reach in the first operating phase. The industrial machine may include at least one controller configured to determine an operating phase of the industrial machine, in a first operating phase of the industrial machine, limit a reach of the dipper handle, and, in a second operating phase of the industrial machine, enable an extended reach of the dipper handle greater than the reach in the first operating phase.
Abstract:
A pipe handling apparatus has a frame, a boom pivotally connected to the frame so as to be movable between a first position and a second position, an arm extending outwardly of the boom when the boom is in the second position, a gripper affixed to the end of the arm opposite the boom, a first line having a first end affixed to the boom, a second line interconnected to an opposite end of the first line and connected to the frame, and an actuator interconnected to the first and second lines. The actuator changes an angular relationship of the first and second lines so as to selectively tension the lines. The second line includes a first cable offset from linear alignment with the first line and a second cable extending in angular relationship with the first cable.
Abstract:
An excavation system employing a high-pressure pulsed air jet in combination with a low-pressure high velocity blower for excavating improvised explosive devices or other buried objects. The excavation system may also be employed to operate a pneumatic tool such as a cut-off tool or a chisel. The high velocity blower may incorporate a bifurcated fan duct having two air outlets. The system may include a pressure control module for regulating the from a high-pressure air source to an evacuation valve. The evacuation valve employs first and second valves where the second valve controls the operation of the first valve.
Abstract:
A loader attachment mounting apparatus for movable work vehicles is provided, which is used for mounting a work attachment, such as a bale gripper, a bucket or a hook, to the front end of a loader that is movably installed on the front surface of the movable work vehicles, such as a tractor. A loader equipped with the loader attachment mounting apparatus is also provided. In the loader attachment mounting apparatus, an attachment can be easily attached to and easily detached from the attachment mounting apparatus and the attachment mounted to the loader can be easily movable to the left and right, thus improving work efficiency and work reliability of the movable work vehicles. The apparatus includes left and right attachment coupling brackets connected to the loader, and an attachment transfer device including left and right attachment coupling units connected to the attachment coupling brackets.
Abstract:
Wearing element with enhanced wear resistance related to wearing elements, such as cast steel teeth to be specially used in machinery for earth-moving, ground-engaging and/or rock-loading applications, as well as to inserts to be included within the wearing elements, to enhance their wear resistance thus prolonging their service life.
Abstract:
A tractor includes booms, lift cylinders, a hitch, dump cylinders, a magnetic valve, a speed-up circuit, and a speed-up restricting arm. The lift cylinders swing the booms upward and downward by an operating oil being supplied thereto. The hitch is provided to the booms to allow an implement to be attached thereto. The dump cylinders swing the implement upward and downward by the operating oil being supplied thereto. The magnetic valve switches between supplying the operating oil to the dump cylinders and supplying the operating oil to a grab cylinder provided in the implement. The speed-up circuit is able to perform a speed-up operation for increasing the flow rate of the operating oil supplied to the magnetic valve. The speed-up restricting arm is arranged near the speed-up circuit. The speedup restricting arm is brought into contact with a contact member attached to an input member for switching an operation of the speed-up circuit, to thereby restrict the speed-up operation, so that a speed-up of the grab cylinder is prevented.
