Abstract: A combined sewer/enclosure overflow (CSO) sensor system is described for accurate detection and measurement of overflow events. From the combined data, trending information can determine if there is debris accumulation. Rain masks can be used in the trending data to measure overall health. External sensors in combination with the CSO sensors provide predictive information and additional levels of information/data accuracy. The sensor system automatically and remotely monitors CSO locations and provides real-time data regarding start times, stop times, duration, and flow volumes of overflows that occur in these structures and provide regulatory and public notification of these events.

Abstract: A storm water capture and filtration system may secure in a catch basin or other area subject to flows of water from streets, channels, and the like as a result of run off from storms. A filter system may include a capture portion including attachment mechanisms, a funnel, various supports, and a filter hanger designed and calculated to capture all water entering a storm water inlet and directing it toward a bag filter. A gap is provided between a funnel and filter hanger in order to provide accommodation for overflow, while an anti-backflow skirt on the filter bag resists flushing of captured pollution out of the bag in overflow condition.

Abstract: A removable catch basin filter insert includes a filter container is fitted into a catch basin in the ground at the location where the stormwater exits the gutter and enters the stormwater sewer system. The removable catch basin filter provides pollution capture from stormwater while being easily cleaned. A hinged cover is included at the top of the filter insert to allow the captured pollutants to be evacuated through the use of a vehicle or being tipped nearly upside down by a mechanical arm. A hinged trap door is included at the bottom of the filter insert to allow captured pollutants to be evacuated through the bottom of the device and into a container. By capturing the pollutants with the removable catch basin filter insert before the pollutants enter the mainline storm drain system, clean storm drain systems are provided allowing for cleaner waterways.

Abstract: The invention relates to a building basement flood control system that eliminates termination of sanitary and storm sewer lines within a building. Abstract: An odor neutralization device for a wastewater lift station wastewater vent. The device is formed from a housing having a vertical standpipe with a first end securable to the receiver vent of a wastewater lift station and a second end extending above an admixture of essential oils and a surfactant. A baffle arrangement increases the velocity of air exiting or entering the wastewater lift station. The accelerated air is directed across the surface of the admixture for altering the characteristics of any odor laden air.

Abstract: A backflow prevention apparatus is provided with a check valve and a float-type backflow prevention valve, these being installed in this order as one proceeds from upstream to downstream. The check valve comprises a valve seat; a valve member that closes the valve at the valve seat due to an upwardly directed restoring force; and a restoring force exerting member that exerts an upwardly directed restoring force on the valve member. The float-type backflow prevention valve comprises an annular valve seat; a float that rises in accompaniment to a rise in a water level of wastewater to close the valve at the annular valve seat; a guide member that guides movement of the float in a vertical direction; and a constraining member that constrains a lowermost position to which the float can move.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, sewer alarm devices and apparatus are provided for detecting the presence of liquid within a pipe.
