摘要: Fire-rated wall construction components and wall systems for use in building construction. Embodiments can include tracks for holding studs which incorporate various geometries capable of receiving fire-retardant material, including but not limited to intumescent material. The fire-retardant material can be attached to compressible backer rods inserted within deflection gaps in the wall systems such that the fire-retardant material expands and seals gaps and/or areas between the tracks and wall components such as ceilings, floors, and drywall. Various assemblies and methods can be used to cover the deflection gap.

摘要: A fire-rated angle piece and wall assemblies or other assemblies that incorporate the fire-rated angle piece, in which the angle piece can include an intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The angle can be attached adjacent to a corner of a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed between the framing member and a wall board member at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the angle piece.

摘要: A barrier system for partitioning a space includes panels which interlock with each other to provide a barrier that is fire rated. The interlocking panels are assembled in the barrier in columns using a tongue and groove assembly and a panel lock using a strike and latch supported by the tongue member and groove member, respectively. Each panel includes a peripheral frame (that is shaped to provide the tongue and groove members), opposed steel side faces mounted to the peripheral frame, and an insulation block filling an interior space delimited by the peripheral frame and the opposed steel side faces. The insulation block includes a pair of insulating material layers that sandwich a radiant barrier layer. A floor module supports a bottom edge of the panel and an interface module supports a side/top edge of the panel. The floor/interface modules are configured with telescoping sections and are length trimmable.

摘要: A system for forming a wall is described. In an embodiment, the panel comprises: one or more prefabricated wall panels each panel comprising: a rear board; a front board forming an internal face for a room, said front board spaced away from said rear board to form a cavity; a first side stud and a second side stud, each side stud connected to the front and rear boards on opposing sides of the cavity; and a head track and a base track, each track connected to the front and rear board and the first and second side stud at a top and bottom of said boards and studs respectively; and wherein the first side stud comprises a male mating means and the second side stud comprises a female mating means such that the prefabricated wall panel can mate with an adjacent prefabricated wall panel to form a continuous internal wall surface.

摘要: An inflatable barrier allows separating air in a first space from air in a second space to provide containment.
The inflatable barrier may include an inflatable bag with edge seals in the form of parallel tubes. The bag receives air from an air mover through a first opening. It has a carrier for a vent that releases air while the bag stays inflated. A tension rod prevents the bag from bulging out of shape. The bag may be hung from an expandable rod. An internal channel may route air through the whole bag.
The inflatable barrier may comprise an outer sleeve and two or more inflatable inner chambers. The circumference of a main sleeve matches the circumference of a combination of the inner chambers. The inner chambers include an air inlet/outlet. The outer sleeve may have connector halves to couple the barrier with another barrier, or to couple the main sleeve with a top, a bottom, or an extension.

摘要: The invention generally pertains to a modular partition system. By way of one example, the modular partition system is constructed of a number of modular partition segments having an adjustable pole support member, a plurality of lightweight, compressible foam blocks configured to be attached to and removed from the adjustable pole support member and a plurality of foam block covers sized to be securely affixed to the front and back of a compressible foam block to provide strength and structural support to each compressible foam block of the modular partition. Using a combination of multiple sized modular partition segments, a larger size room may be partitioned to create a relative soundproof barrier between the newly created adjacent rooms.
