    摘要: An apparatus for seaming roof assemblies having a modular provision of tooling stations is disclosed herein. Such an apparatus includes multiple tooling stations that may be added or removed on demand in order to facilitate different degrees of seaming engagements as needed. Such a device utilizes horizontal rollers to provide seaming of overlapping roof panel ends to reduce the potential for separation thereof after building erection has been undertaken, further impeding water egress therethrough and wind updraft damage, at least, as well. The modular device thus provides a manner of selecting specific numbers of horizontal rollers for seaming contact with metal roof panels, thereby allowing for different types of panels and end structures thereof, as well as reduce the propensity for jamming of such multiple rollers during utilization. The method of utilization of such a modular device is encompassed herein as well.

    摘要: An improved roof panel system used on a building that exhibits, upon seaming, a substantially even distribution on both sides of such a seam is provided. Such a system thus permits not only increased resistance to wind uplift forces but also a more reliable roof in terms of load-bearing and load-carrying than typical single seamed roof panel systems. Particularly, the novel roof panel includes a female flange end portion with an extended “T” shape within its periphery and a male flange end portion with its own complementary “T” configuration to fit within the female flange. Such an extended “T” shape within the female flange end portion includes an extra extension that permits, upon engagement with the male flange end portion, two seams on either side of the engagement line of the two end portions of the roof panels. In such a manner, the two seams can also be compressed to become parallel with engagement line, or substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the roof line itself. A method of constructing a roof with such a roof panel system, as well as the individual roof panels themselves, and the finished roof exhibiting such a roof panel system are all encompassed within this invention.

    摘要: An improved building panel and attachment system for the production of structures with improved energy efficiency and fire safety characteristics. Panels are formed from a structural angle I™ beam with angles emerging from a web and forming dovetail shaped channels. The dovetail channels provide anchorage points for cross members within the panels as well as weather-stripping and mechanical joints between panels and a building frame. Fiberglass can be combined with Argon gas in the panels to significantly improve R-Values in commercial buildings. A fire safety system allows heat and smoke to be vented from the building during a fire, and for improved safety and effectiveness of fire fighting personnel. Improved insulating panels, daylighting panels with light attenuation and heat dissipation means, as well as solar panels for heating and cooling are shown. These can be assembled into a roof decks and walls to reduce building operating costs and create more attractive retail and commercial buildings. An improved air distribution system, and thin film collectors allow for production of an entire roof of solar collectors at a reasonable cost. An advanced control system for balancing daylighting and artificial lighting is shown, along with a demand side management, (DSM), energy conservation system. Distributed power systems for developing countries and un-interruptible power supplies with reduced cost for photovoltaics are also produced from the panels.

When seaming a roof, the machine lower rollers engage the roof seam at the eave of the roof. The machine is powered so that the upper rollers from the seam as the machine travels to the roof crest. At the crest, the machine is inverted so that the upper rollers engage and form the seam from the crest to the opposite eave.

    摘要: A metal roof board connecting structure for connecting metal roof boards includes a raised-up flat lock seam portion formed by bending flatly and seamly raised-up regions of two metal roof boards which are arranged adjacently to each other, and a cap member capped on the raised-up flat lock seam portion. A part of the raised-up region of one of the two metal roof boards forms a first cap engaging projection and a bent portion of the raised-up flat lock seam portion forms a second cap engaging projection so as to be arranged in symmetrical with the first projection. The cap member has a two elastic side walls a center portion of each of which has an engaging recess and a lower end portion of each of which is extended downwardly and outwardly to extend away from each other. When the cap member is capped on the raised-up flat lock seam portion, the engaging recesses of the two side walls of the cap member are engaged with the first and second cap engaging projections of the one raised-up region and the raised-up flat lock seam portion of the two metal roof boards, and that engagement is semipermanently secured by the elastic force of the two side walls of the cap member.
