Abstract: Disclosed herein is a lock comprising a movably housed shackle stop, a shackle that is movably mounted and a shackle stop receiver for receiving the shackle stop to immobilise the shackle. The lock includes a shackle stop actuator is pivotable around a laterally orientated pivot axis and comprises a lateral cam surface configured to outwardly move the shackle stop into receipt by the shackle stop receiver. The lock includes a body configured to simultaneously receive a plurality of cylinder locks for actuation of the shackle stop actuator by any one of the plurality of cylinder locks.

Abstract: A multi-key lock core includes a housing, a driving cylinder, a plurality of circular lock plates, and a lock rod. The driving cylinder is disposed in the housing, a sidewall of the driving cylinder is provided with a penetration portion, and the driving cylinder is rotatable to the penetration portion to correspond to an engagement recessed portion. The circular lock plates are disposed in the driving cylinder and each include an outer edge provided with a first recessed portion, and the outer edge of at least one of the circular lock plates is further provided with a second recessed portion. The lock rod is disposed in the penetration portion, and may partially enter the engagement recessed portion to restrict rotation of the driving cylinder. A first key may push the circular lock plates to rotate to the first recessed portion to correspond to the penetration portion, so that the lock rod can move to partially enter the first recessed portion and detach from the engagement recessed portion. The second key may push the circular lock plates to rotate to the second recessed portion and the first recessed portion to correspond to the penetration portion, so that the lock rod can move to partially enter the second recessed portion and the first recessed portion and detach from the engagement recessed portion.

Abstract: A programmable combination lock with keyed lock override is disclosed. The lock employs a stack of rings and dial wheels, with a mechanism for coupling and decoupling the rings and dial wheels. A user can program a custom code by unlocking the combination and rotating the inner and outer dial wheels until the desired code is indicated, and then locking the combination lock to set the code. A keyed lock with a master key couples to the combination lock and can override a combination lock in the locked state. The keyed lock allows multiple keys to lock and unlock the combination lock. In the event that a user loses the master key, the user can use the second key to create a new lock combination to operate the lock, yet render the lost master key inoperable.

Abstract: Currently, people at a public or private location wishing to store their valuables have limited options. They may use a token locker where a coin-shaped token is inserted into and retained by the locking device, allowing the release of a locking key. They may use a similar electronic version of the token locker. In some cases, they may have to bring their own lock or even a separate private locker to store their valuables. The standard token requires a new token to be inserted each time the door is opened and leaves the location unable to track the duration of use. Electronic devices can be expensive and require a source of electricity. Bringing a lock or entire lock box is cumbersome.The solution is a process whereby a universal key is used in place of a token. This universal key, as a token would do, releases a unique locking key from the locker. The universal key, labeled for tracking, is borrowed for use at the location. It is used in place of a token any number of times and then is returned after usage is completed. This process relies on a unique mechanism within each locker that handles the key that is used in place of a token and the key that secures the locker. The invention also allows an inexpensive method for a location to keep track of who has rented which locker and allows tracking of how long it is used. Furthermore, the user has the advantage of being able to reuse the universal key in different lockers prior to returning it. This advancement on the ordinary token locker creates clear advantages over current methods and can create employment opportunity that adds a human touch in the handling of the delivery and return of the universal key being used in place of a token.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for maintaining security and data gathering for a number of vehicles. The systems include a vehicle activity module for each of the vehicles. The vehicle activity module has a wireless transmitter, a storage device, at least one sensor for receiving event information from identification devices, such as RFID cards, keypads, magnetic ID cards, and the like, a releasable key container, and a processor for accessing and analyzing information. The VAMs are wirelessly connected to a computer system. The VAMs control access to the keys, monitor information relating to access, and store and transmit information relating to sales events, non-sales events, and intrusion events. The VAMs are capable of autonomous operation, without the need to access the computer system to verify event information. The VAMs further include signal attenuating mechanisms to facilitate use of “smart keys.”

Abstract: The locking cylinder has a basic code which can be changed using at least one change key (17, 17′). Abstract: A re-keyable lock and method. The lock has locked and unlocked positions and includes a housing and a cylinder rotatably supported in the housing. The lock includes a plurality of wafer tumblers resiliently supported in corresponding channels formed in the cylinder. Each wafer tumbler includes a rider element selectively engaged with a base element in first and second engagement positions, wherein the first engagement position corresponds to a first key and the second engagement position corresponds to a second key.
