摘要： An actuator rod extending between a pair of knobs on the inside and the outside, respectively, of a door is normally rotatable by both knobs to cause the usual latch bolt of the door to be thrown back. The inside knob has a push button upon depression of which a first clutch of claw type connecting the outside knob to the actuator rod is disengaged. The outside knob has a built-in cylinder lock assembly associated with a second clutch of tongueand-groove type to permit the door to be opened from the outside while the push button is held depressed. Upon manipulation of the cylinder lock key the second clutch engages to connect the outside knob to the actuator rod. Cam means is employed by way of operative connection between the second clutch and the ''''plug'''' or cylindrical rotor of the cylinder lock assembly.

摘要： A door lock has a flush-mountable body. A forwardly facing recess is defined by the body. A push-button actuator for operating the lock is carried by the body and is movable between normal and operating positions. A bolt is carried on the back of the body and is movable between latching and unlatching positions. A key-controlled disconnect linkage is provided for selectively drivingly connecting and disconnecting the actuator and the bolt. The disconnect linkage includes a disconnect member which is moved by a key-operated locking member between connecting and disconnecting positions located, respectively, in and out of the path of travel of a latch bolt operating arm. When the disconnect linkage drivingly connects the actuator and the bolt, movement of the actuator from its normal position to an operating position will cause corresponding unlatching movement of the bolt. When the disconnect linkage disconnects the actuator from the bolt, movement of the actuator is inoperative to cause unlatching movement of the bolt. A feature of the disconnect linkage is that it provides the lock with a "slam" capability, meaning that the bolt can be slammed into latching engagement with a suitably configured strike regardless of whether the disconnect linkage is drivingly connecting or disconnecting the actuator and the bolt.

摘要： A security lock comprising a latch positioned at the edge of a door which is actuated to selectively lock or unlock the door. The security lock includes an optional key-actuated dead bolt which can provide additional security when needed. A mechanism for locking or unlocking the latch comprises a hand-actuated knob positioned on the inside of the door so that when the dead bolt is not in use, the latch mechanism may still be locked or unlocked simply by rotating the knob between two positions. The mechanism for locking the latch is disengaged when the latch is in the locked position. If the latch is in the locked position when the door is opened, when the door is closed the latch is automatically unlocked to prevent a person from accidentally being locked out.

摘要： A mortise lock for use on an entrance door or the like has a latch operated by a thumbpiece from the outside except when the thumbpiece is released by a locking or disabling mechanism. In the released position, the thumbpiece and an associated operating lever contained within the lock casing are freely movable relative to other parts of a latchbolt retracting mechanism. The latchbolt may be retracted by a manual manipulator from the inside at all times. Various means compatible with parts of a conventional mortise lock are provided for effecting locking release of the thumbpiece.
