摘要： A foldable panel gate includes an inner panel section and an outer panel section foldable relative to one another between open and closed positions of the gate. An operating linkage controls displacement of the outer panel section relative to the inner panel section as the inner panel section is driven by a suitable drive between the open and closed positions. The linkage includes a pivotal body coupled to the inner panel section, a first connecting link pivotally coupled between the gate post and the pivotal body, and a second connecting link pivotally coupled between the pivotal body and the outer panel section to fold the outer panel section relative to the inner panel section through a range of 180 degrees as the inner panel section is driven through a range of 90 degrees between the open and closed position.

摘要： A drive mechanism is provided for a door operator, comprising a drive member and a driven member. The drive member includes a protrusion, the edges of the protrusion forming first and second driving surfaces which define a free space of at least about 90° there between. The driven member includes a protrusion, the sides of the protrusion form a first and a second driven surface, respectively. The drive member is adapted to be operably connected to between a motor assembly for rotating the drive member and a door closer assembly rotating with the driven member. The drive member and the driven member are disposed for relative rotation in substantially the same plane such that the driven member protrusion moves in the free space defined by the driving surfaces of the drive member protrusion. Rotation of the drive member from a first angular orientation to a second angular orientation in a direction toward an adjacent driven surface causes rotation of the driven member for powered opening of the door from the closed position to the open position. The driven member protrusion moves in the free space without engaging the protrusion surfaces when the door is opened manually from the closed position and allowed to close.

摘要： A door controlling device for opening and closing a door in a wall has a first arm, one end of which is mounted to the wall and the other end of which is pivotally attached to the second end of a second arm. The first end of the second arm is pivotally attached to the top of a door and is adapted for rotation about a horizontal axis at the first end thereof. An electric motor attached to the device has a shaft which drives a gear train, and an output shaft of the gear train is connected to the input end of an electrically operated clutch. The output shaft of the clutch is connected to the first end of one of the arms such that upon the simultaneous engagement of the clutch and the energizing of the motor, that arm will be rotated about the horizontal axis at the first end and will cause the door to be opened or closed. Also, a current measuring device for determining whether the motor is drawing on excessive amount of electric current, a door open sensor for generating a signal when the door is in a fully opened position, and a door closed sensor for generating a signal when the door is in a fully closed position are all connected to a computer to control the opening and closing of a door.

摘要： A device for controlling a door operated by a motor includes an opening/closing mechanism that opens and closes the door, and a gear mechanism that includes a plurality of tooth units each of which has different mesh and that conveys a torque of the motor to the opening/closing mechanism. The tooth units include a low-torque tooth unit that convey a relatively low torque, and a high-torque-tooth unit that conveys a relatively high torque. The torque conveyed to the opening/closing mechanism is changed by selecting a tooth unit based on a position of the door at the time of starting an opening or closing operation of the door.

摘要： An operator comprising a housing ending in a flange is provided with a turret incorporating a stepped bore for locating a worm shaft of a drive mechanism. A first seal is disposed between the worm shaft and the stepped bore. A second seal is interposed between the flange and a frame of a window. An interconnecting mechanism driven by the worm shaft comprises a pair of worm arms followed by a pair of links. The former and the latter are provided with male and female ends using, respectively, a calotte of a sphere complemented by a spherical shaped recess. Thus, between the pair of worm arms and the pair of links, pivotal joints are formed.

摘要： An awning-type window is hinged at its upper edge to a support structure adjacent an opening. A closure controller is provided to control the opening and closing of the window and to latch the window in both the open and closed positions. The closure controller comprises an overcenter toggle linkage including a pair of U-shaped rods having their open ends facing each other. One end of each rod is journaled in a cylindrical sleeve mounted on each of the window and the support structure and their opposite ends are coaxially journaled in a cylindrical sleeve comprising a handle. In the closed position of the window, the handle is located overcenter below a line through the axes of the other pivots with the links internested. To open the window, the handle is rotated upwardly and outwardly to a window-extended position wherein the handle again is overcenter. A stop tab mounted integrally with the window pivot engages the bottom leg of that link to limit the overcenter movement.

摘要： A window well cover jack is disclosed. The window well cover jack has three arms: a base arm, a support arm and an actuator handle, all connected to aid in the lifting of a window well cover and to allow egress. In one embodiment, the jack is lockable in a stowed position. It is also possible to add a spring assist to aid in the lifting of a window well cover. Ideally, the window well cover jack is also lockable in a deployed position to aid in holding an ajar window well cover so as to facilitate escape. A simple link, which is easily broken by emergency crews with the proper tools but secure against intruders without said tools, connects the window well cover jack to a window well cover.
