    摘要: The apparatus and method includes a panel movable between at least two positions. An electric motor has a rotating armature. A multiple pole magnet is mounted on the armature. A sensor detects the passage of each magnet pole and generates an output signal. A control measures time periods between each pole passage. An average time period is computed over a predetermined number of time periods. The difference between average time periods is computed and compared with a threshold difference to determine if an obstacle is present in the path of movement of the panel. Transient counts are accumulated for increasing average time periods over a number of time period samples as a measurement of the force exerted on an obstacle by the panel to detect an obstacle.

    摘要: A plug for use in a counterbalancing mechanism of a cable-operated door. The plug is used for operatively connecting an overhead shaft to a torsion spring co-axially mounted thereon. The plug includes a cylindrical collar and a cylindrical flange. The cylindrical collar has opposite first and second portions and is provided with a hooking slot for hooking a free end of the torsion spring thereon, and the torsion spring having a segment coaxially mounted about the first portion of the collar. The cylindrical flange is rigidly affixed to the second portion of the collar and is used for transferring a torque between the torsion spring and the overhead shaft when the flange is securely fixed about the overhead shaft. The plug is characterized in that the collar is eccentrically mounted about the overhead shaft, thereby allowing the plug to be used when the radial space between the plug and the overhead shaft is limited and also preventing the overhead shaft from being damaged by the free end of the torsion spring.

    摘要: A movable barrier operator having improved safety and energy efficiency features automatically detects line voltage frequency and uses that information to set a worklight shut-off time. The operator automatically detects the type of door (single panel or segmented) and uses that information to set a maximum speed of door travel. The operator moves the door with a linearly variable speed from start of travel to stop for smooth and quiet performance. The operator provides for full door closure by driving the door into the floor when the DOWN limit is reached and no auto-reverse condition has been detected. The operator provides for user selection of a minimum stop speed for easy starting and stopping of sticky or binding doors.

    摘要: A door driving-mechanism torque transmission (20, 40, or 50) for transmitting torque from a door-driving motor assembly, especially a geared motor (36), to a shaft (33) connected to a door panel (31). A driving component rotates around an axis and can be engaged with the door-driving motor assembly. A driven component rotates around another axis and can be engaged with the shaft. A bearing assembly accommodates both components mounted on separated axes of rotation. There is a coupling connection (2) between both components. The object is to promote smooth operation and decrease frequency of repair. The bearing assembly (4 or 51) is accordingly provided with a driving-component bearing half (5 or 52) that the driving component (1) is mounted on and with, separated therefrom, a driven-component bearing half (6 or 53) that the driven component (3) is mounted on. The bearing halves (5 & 6 or 52 & 53) are connected elastically for the purpose of attenuating torsional vibrations and impacts. The invention also concerns a motorized door-driving mechanism provided with such a torque transmission as well as a door provided therewith.

    摘要: The apparatus comprises a motor, a motor driver, a pulse generator, an MCU incorporating a memory, and an open/close switch. The MCU compares the motor load torque detected at the time of opening or closing the window, with a reference value stored in the memory; when the torque considerably exceeds the reference value, it concludes that there is a foreign object caught in the window and stops or reverses the motor and inactivates the function of foreign object detection until there is no transitional torque fluctuation in the transitional period from a start of the motor. The MCU compares the torque variation per unit time with a permissible variation range stored in the memory; when the number of successive torques which fall within the permissible variation range reaches a maximum permissible number of such successive torques stored in the memory, it activates the function of foreign object detection.
