摘要: Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to shifting mandrels in downhole tools based on hydraulic pressure. A downhole tool includes an outer sleeve, an inner mandrel and a valve plate coupled to the inner mandrel. The valve plate and the inner mandrel are configured to shift axially within the outer sleeve. The valve plate is further configured to pass a portion of fluid through the valve plate and pass another portion of the fluid around the valve plate, based on a tensile force or a compressive force exerted on the downhole tool.

摘要: Valve assemblies are disclosed for use in the oil and gas industry. A disclosed valve assembly includes a housing having a bore; a valve member arranged within the housing which is movable relative to the bore between open and closed positions. The valve member includes a cutting feature and a sealing surface; a cutting component that cooperates with the cutting feature when the valve member is in moved to the closed position; a first seal element arranged within the housing and providing a first seal relative to the sealing surface; and a second seal element arranged within the housing and providing a second seal relative to the sealing surface. The second seal element is movable relative to the housing bore between first and second positions. A corresponding method of controlling communication along a bore of a housing is also disclosed.

摘要: Pressure-activated valve assemblies and methods to remotely activate a valve are disclosed. A pressure-activated valve assembly includes a valve, a latch mechanism configured to shift the valve to an open position, and a pressure-activated indexing mechanism that is initially engaged to the latch mechanism. The pressure-activated indexing mechanism is initially in an unarmed mode. After the pressure-activated indexing mechanism is in an armed mode, applying at least one cycle of threshold pressure to the pressure-activated indexing mechanism disengages the latch mechanism to shift the valve to the open position. The pressure-activated valve assembly also includes a remote-activated downhole system configured to receive an activation pressure signal having a signature profile, and in response to receiving the activation pressure signal, arm the pressure-activated indexing mechanism.

摘要: A combination of an autofill tube and an interchangeable ball cage for use in an autofill conversion assembly during well operations includes the tube extending to a downhole opening, the tube has a mounting mechanism to releasably mount the tube within an outer member; the interchangeable ball cage having a main body forming a bore; a downhole opening; circulation ports; and an attachment mechanism removably connecting the main body to the autofill tube; the downhole opening has a diameter selected to prevent a conversion ball from falling therethrough; the circulation ports provide fluid flow through the interchangeable ball cage such that the circulation ports have a number and size to create a preset maximum flowrate associated with the combination of the autofill tube and the interchangeable ball cage; and the interchangeable ball cage is to be selected based on the preset maximum flowrate desired at a well site.

摘要: A subsurface safety valve includes an interior bore and a hinged valve actuatable between an open position and a closed position in which the hinged valve creates a fluid-tight seal with the interior bore. A latching mechanism secures an isolation tool within the interior bore of the valve. The isolation tool includes a tubular body having an exterior surface corresponding to the interior bore and an interior surface defining an internal bore. An annular groove is disposed on the exterior surface of the tubular body, and an annular seal is disposed in the annular groove. An equalization port is disposed downhole of the annular seal, and has one or more apertures for fluidly coupling an upper and lower portion of a wellbore. The subsurface safety valve further includes a control line for controlling the valve at a surface of the wellbore.
