摘要: Technologies are generally described for clearance adjustments in twin-screw pump assemblies. A twin-screw pump assembly may include a conically shaped portion of a drive shaft enveloped by a bushing. For clearance adjustment, both clamping nuts of the drive shaft, which provide pretention to the bushing and secure an axial position of a threaded screw to the drive shaft, may be removed on the flow side of the pump assembly and the bushing loosened to adjust the angularity between bushing and drive shaft. The bushing may then be pushed over the conically shaped portion and both clamping nuts re-assembled. In some examples, a clamping nut of the driven shaft may be designed and used as removal/loosening tool for the drive shaft bushing.

摘要: A compressor casing having an internal gas passage includes a first bearing housing arranged at a first end of the casing, a second bearing housing arranged at a second, opposite end of the casing, and a rotor case disposed between the first bearing housing and the second bearing housing. The rotor case includes an axially extending bore within which a plurality of rotors are receivable and a hollow internal cavity isolated from the bore. The internal cavity is fluidly coupled to the bore via at least one recess. At least one exit opening is formed in one of the first bearing housing and the second bearing housing. The at least one exit opening is operably coupled to the internal cavity of the rotor case.

摘要: An engine comprises a compression portion and a combustion portion. The compression portion comprises twin-screw rotors, male engaged with female. The combustion portion comprises twin-screw rotors, male engaged with female. The male compression rotor and the male combustion rotor share a same longitudinal axis, and the female compression rotor and the female combustion rotor share a same longitudinal axis. A combustion plate is disposed between the compression portion and the combustion portion, and prevents flow of gas from the compression portion to the combustion portion, except through a small orifice centrally located on the combustion plate. A valve is affixed to the male rotors adjacent to the combustion plate, covering the lobes of the male rotors and extending beyond the lobes of the male rotors. The valve controls the flow of gas from the compression portion to the combustion portion.

摘要: A thermal energy recovery device includes: a circulation line having an evaporator, an expander, a condenser, and a pump; a power recovery machine; a first on-off valve; a thermal energy introduction line configured to introduce a gas phase working medium into a post-expansion space; a second on-off valve; and a control unit. Until an evaporation condition that a liquid phase working medium accumulated in the post-expansion space has reached an amount equal to or smaller than a reference amount is met, the control unit closes the first on-off valve and opens the second on-off valve, and drives the pump in a state where the expander is stopped, and when the evaporation condition is met, the control unit opens the first on-off valve and closes the second on-off valve, and drives the expander.

摘要: A method and system is provided for pressure balancing one or more seals in machines such as expanders and/or compressors using the process fluid which is being expanded or compressed to provide the pressure for pressure balancing the other side of the one or more seals. The one or more seals may be part of a pressure containing chamber which may comprise a seal, a bearing and/or a gear on a rotating shaft common to the seal. An amount of pressure to be supplied to housing(s) for a machine so as to create a pressure cascade, and thereby dropping the pressure in each subsequent chamber as pressure approaches atmosphere. Pressure differentials may be directed to leak process fluid to the chamber into the process. Pressurized lube oil systems may be employed for balancing pressure and delivering lubricant to the seals, bearings and gears.

摘要: A gear pump or a gear motor includes a casing, a helical drive gear, a helical driven gear, a drive-side space, and an idler-side space. The drive and driven gears mesh with each other in the casing to partition inside of the casing so as to include high and low pressure spaces. The drive-side and idler-side spaces are each configured to allow pressure therein to become higher than a pressure in the low-pressure space. The drive-side space faces an end portion of a drive shaft rotatably supporting the drive gear. The idler-side space faces an end portion of an idler shaft rotatably supporting the driven gear. The end portion of the drive shaft is pushed in a predetermined direction by working fluid supplied to the drive-side space. The end portion of the idler shaft is pushed in the predetermined direction by working fluid supplied to the idler-side space.

摘要: In order to improve an expansion system for a working medium that is used in particular in a circulating process of a system that utilises waste heat, in particular in a system operating in a Rankine cycle, comprising an expansion device coupled to an electricity generator, for the working medium, an inlet for supplying the pressurised working medium, and an outlet for the working medium that has been expanded by the expansion device, it is proposed that an aerosol generator unit that generates a lubricant aerosol should be associated with the inlet, wherein the working medium guided to the expansion device flows through this aerosol generator unit, which has a flow guide for the working medium having a concentration section that concentrates lubricant entrained in the total mass flow of working medium supplied to the expansion device to give aerosol particles, and these aerosol particles leave the concentration section together with a partial mass flow of the working medium, branching off from the total mass flow of working medium, as a lubricant aerosol mass flow, and that a line system should be provided that guides the lubricant aerosol mass flow to lubrication points of an expansion arrangement of the expansion device, for the purpose of aerosol lubrication.
