Abstract: A mobile vehicle lubrication unit for serving power transmission equipment elevated above ground level such as conveyors whereby the lubricant containing gear reducer unit is disposed in an enclosed body mounted on an upper portion of an elevated conveyor. The system includes a manifold system connectable to trailer mounted storage tanks for lubricants, pumps, filters, air supplies and supply lines, and transfer means mounted on a truck or trailer including side access to the control panel and transfer hoses enabling the user to transfer lubricants to elevated equipment such as conveyors by pulling along side of same. The device changes, filters, and replaces the oil in a reducer gearbox or other lubricant containing equipment which is not easily accessed from the ground level. Air presssure is used to evaculate used oil from the conveyor gear motor and/or reducer units and replaces the used oil with filtered or new oil through oil lines and hoses with quick disconnects which may be positioned on a manifold at ground level having oil lines in fluid communication with the gear motor/reducer unit.

Abstract: An oil pan for an engine comprises a containment portion of unitary construction. The containment portion has a circumferential component defining a circumferential extent of the containment portion and comprising a pair of mutually opposing side walls. The containment portion also comprises a base wall extending inwardly from a first portion of the circumferential component and defining a lower extent of the containment portion. The oil pan also comprises an attachment portion comprising an attachment surface at a second portion of the circumferential component; a first plug portion on an interior of a first one of the pair of mutually opposing side walls at a first location; and a second plug portion on an interior of a second one of the pair of mutually opposing side walls at a second location. The first and second plug portions are configured to receive an oil syphon connector and the attachment portion has a rotational symmetry such that the attachment surface is connectable to an engine block in a first orientation and in a second orientation. The first and second plug portions are located such that an oil tube having a fixed location relative to the engine block aligns adjacent the first plug portion on attachment of the attachment portion to the engine block in the first orientation and aligns adjacent the second plug portion on attachment of the attachment portion to the engine block in the second orientation.

Abstract: A method of transferring fluid in a motor system includes containing a first volume of fluid in a reservoir of a fluid container that is in fluid communication with a fluid receptacle of a motor and containing a second volume of fluid in the fluid receptacle. A first quantity of fluid is transferred from the fluid receptacle to the reservoir of the replaceable fluid container so as to mix the first quantity of fluid from the fluid receptacle with the volume of fluid in the reservoir of the replaceable fluid container A second quantity of fluid is transferred from the reservoir back to the fluid receptacle.

Abstract: An easily serviceable liquid filter assembly having a housing with a drain to provide draining of fluid (e.g., liquid) from the housing. The filter assembly has a fluid inlet to receive dirty fluid into the housing, a fluid outlet to expel filtered fluid from the housing, and a drain, when open, to expel unfiltered (dirty) fluid from the housing. By removing a cover from the housing, the filter element opens the drain so that all fluid in the housing can be directly collected or can flow into the oil pan to be collected with the fluid present in the pan. All fluid, now in the drain pan, can be drained and collected in a disposable container such as a plastic pouch, which can be recycled. The filter element can be removed from the housing via the removed cover.
