    Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a new coolant tank that may also provide a structural element to the frame of the engine compartment. The coolant tank is comprised of a rear wall that also makes up a portion of the firewall in the engine compartment. A structural coolant tank component is engaged with the rear wall to form the coolant reservoir. The coolant reservoir can provide support to attach structural elements of the vehicle, and can also allow for improved space efficiency in the engine compartment. Further, improved access to the filling port is provided, while continued operation and desired function is maintained even at extreme vehicle tilt.

    Abstract: A controller for a vehicle executes a base temperature calculation process that calculates a base temperature of a component of the internal combustion engine, a correction value calculation process that calculates a correction value, a vehicle line reflection process when the vehicle including the component of which temperature is estimated is a temperature-estimated vehicle that is in a line of vehicles in order to reflect, on the correction value, a tendency of the component to be less cooled when the temperature-estimated vehicle is a trailing vehicle than when the temperature-estimated vehicle is a leading vehicle, a rearmost reflection process when the temperature-estimated vehicle is in the line of vehicles in order to reflect, on the correction value, a tendency of the component to be more cooled when the temperature-estimated vehicle is a rearmost vehicle, and a component temperature estimation process that corrects the base temperature with the correction value.

    Abstract: A system is provided that may include a pressure sensor coupled to a radiator. The pressure sensor may determine plural pressure readings of a radiator fluid in the radiator. The system may also include a vehicle controller of a vehicle system that includes one or more processors. The one or more processors may repeatedly determine the plural pressure readings of the radiator fluid, and determine a pressure variance of the plural pressure readings that is repeatedly determined. The one or more processors may further be configured to identify a pressure condition based on the pressure variance that is determined.

    Abstract: A warm-up method based on a temperature control module, a vehicle, and a storage medium. The warm-up method based on the temperature control module comprises: entering a cold start mode; obtaining current temperature control parameters, the temperature control parameters comprising a current water temperature value, a current engine speed, and a current engine load; obtaining working parameters of a temperature control module according to the temperature control parameters; controlling the temperature control module according to the working parameters to adjust the water temperature to warm an engine, and updating the current water temperature value; and after the updated current water temperature value does not exceed a warm-up threshold, returning to the step of obtaining the current temperature control parameters to enter the next cycle.

The control device includes a number of cold starts counting unit determining engine cold start and counting the number of cold starts before coolant exchange, an accumulated amount of time measuring unit measuring an accumulated amount of time when the coolant temperature measured by the temperature sensor is a defined temperature or higher before the coolant exchange, and an exchange determination unit determining the need for coolant exchange, when the accumulated amount of time is a defined amount of time or greater and the number of cold starts is a defined number of times or greater.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a monitoring of an engine cooling system. A transient condition associated with an engine system is identified. A determination is made as to whether the transient condition is a delay condition based on whether the transient condition exceeds a transient threshold. A determination is made, in response to a determination that the transient condition is not the delay condition, as to whether a period of time that has passed since a previously identified delay condition meets a time threshold. Monitoring of a health of the engine cooling system is enabled in response to a determination that the period of time meets the time threshold.
