    摘要: This two-stroke cycle is applicable at classical internal combustion engines (piston-rod-crankshaft) as well as at engines with two-sided piston. The very systems has at least one pair of cylinders (1, 2) of which one (1) is compresor (pump) and other (2) is engine. The compressor and the engine pistons (3, 4) have such phase delay to each other that when one piston is in the midpoint between two nulldead pointsnull of the engine, other is in one of nulldead pointsnull. At the moment when the compressor piston (3) has passed half the way from LDP to UDP, it also has precompressed the sucked air, while the engine piston (4) is at LDP and has opened the exhausting channel (15), which leaves out the combustion gas. Because of the higher pressure in the compressing pipe relating to the pressure in engine cylinder (2), the inlet valve (7) of the engine opens and fresh air enters the engine. When the compressor piston (3) comes at UDP, it delivers all the air to the engine and spring force closes the inlet valve (7) of the engine. In the meantime the engine piston (4) has closed the exhausting channel (15) and the injector (11) has injected the fuel into the engine cylinder (2). The engine piston (4) keeps on compressing the air-fuel compound until the UDP has reached. The sparking plug (13) starts the ignition, while the compressor piston (3) goes towards LDP sucking the air. The cycle is repeating.

    摘要: A two-cycle engine having improved performance characteristics is disclosed. In one embodiment, the engine includes a block and a cylinder head coupled to the block, the cylinder head defining a cylinder bore and a precombustion chamber. The cylinder bore is generally closed at a top and bottom end, and the head of piston located in the cylinder bore divides the bore into a first variable volume intake chamber and a second variable volume combustion chamber. An intake port allows fresh air to be drawn into the variable volume intake chamber and be compressed by the moving piston and delivered to the precombustion chamber. Fuel is added to the compressed air, which is heated, and then delivered to the variable volume combustion chamber. In one embodiment, the piston drives a crankshaft which is mounted both for rotation and for translation. Another embodiment of the invention comprises a lubricating system for a piston, the lubricating system including passages through a rod and head of the piston and flow directing elements. Movement of the piston up and down generates a pumping effect moving lubricant through the piston for lubricating piston rings.

    摘要: An apparatus and method to enhance the overall performance of engines in one or more of the following ways: by increasing the power output; by reducing the level of unwanted atmospheric emissions; and by reducing engine wear. The apparatus is an engine (e.g., 2-stroke or 4-stroke, diesel or gasoline-fueled internal combustion engine) comprising a crankshaft, crankcase, combustion chamber, oil pan, piston, connecting rod, intake port, exhaust port, and scavenging pump assembly having an air cylinder and an air diaphragm. The scavenging pump assembly allows for the control of air and fuel intake port pressure by controllably boosting an intake mixture of fuel and air to a level sufficiently greater than ambient pressures, and loading the mixture into the combustion chamber, while minimizing the potential for engine lubricating-oil to combine with the intake air-fuel mixture. In a preferred embodiment, the piston and air diaphragm are colinearly aligned and rigidly connected, using an air diaphragm connecting member that passes through the crankcase, such that as the piston compresses a loaded air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber, it causes the air diaphragm to simultaneously draw an air-fuel mixture into the air cylinder without interfering with the rotation of the crankshaft.
