摘要： An engine control apparatus includes an ignition control section and an injection control section. When partial compression ignition combustion is carried out, the ignition control section causes an ignition plug to carry out: main ignition in which a spark is generated in a late period of a compression stroke or an initial period of an expansion stroke to initiate the SI combustion; and preceding ignition in which the spark is generated at earlier timing than the main ignition. Also, when the partial compression ignition combustion is carried out, the injection control section causes the injector to inject fuel at such timing that the fuel exists in a cylinder at an earlier time point than the preceding ignition. Energy of the preceding ignition is set to be higher when an engine speed is high than when the engine speed is low.

The apparatus comprises a hydraulic system (3) configured to hydraulically actuate a first intake valve (23a) and a second intake valve (23b) of a first combustion chamber (25) of an internal combustion engine (5). The apparatus also includes a controller (9) configured to control the hydraulic system (3) in at least a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation. In the first mode of operation, the controller (9) is configured to control the hydraulic system (3) to cause lifting of the first and second intake valves (23a, 23b) of the first combustion chamber (25) during each intake stroke of a respective cylinder piston (27). In the second mode of operation, the controller (9) is configured to control the hydraulic system (3) to cause lifting of the first intake valve (23a) of the first combustion chamber (25) during an intake stroke of the respective cylinder piston (27) and disable actuation of the second intake valve (23b) of the first combustion chamber (25) during that intake stroke.

摘要： A control system of a compression-ignition engine is provided, which includes an engine configured to cause combustion of a mixture gas inside the combustion chamber, an injector attached to the engine and configured to inject fuel into the combustion chamber, a spark plug disposed to be oriented into the combustion chamber and configured to ignite the mixture gas inside the combustion chamber, and a controller connected to the injector and the spark plug and configured to operate the engine by outputting a control signal to the injector and the spark plug, respectively. After the spark plug ignites the mixture gas to start combustion, unburned mixture gas combusts by self-ignition. The controller outputs the control signal to the injector so that a fuel injection timing is advanced when the engine operates at a high speed than at a low speed.
