摘要: A variable compression ratio device is configured to be incorporated into an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine includes one or more cylinders housing pistons that are coupled to a crankshaft. The variable compression ratio device includes a rotation coupler assembly formed by gears that have internal and external teeth, the rotation coupler assembly being disposed at a distal end of the crankshaft to cause the crankshaft to rotate. Translation variations of the crankshaft are to be converted into rotation and transmitted to at least one of a toothed gear or a flange of a flywheel.

摘要: An internal combustion engine (1) for a vehicle is equipped with a variable compression ratio mechanism (2) capable of changing the mechanical compression ratio. An idle stop, which is for automatically stopping the internal combustion engine (1) when the vehicle stops, and a sailing stop, which is for stopping the internal combustion engine (1) in conjunction with the release of a forward clutch (8) during inertial travel, are carried out. A target compression ratio during normal travel is set on the basis of the load and rotation speed of the internal combustion engine (1). During an idle stop the target compression ratio is set to an idle stop restart compression ratio (εis). During a sailing stop the target compression ratio is set to a sailing stop restart compression ratio (εss). The sailing stop restart compression ratio (εss) is lower than the idle stop restart compression ratio (εis).

摘要: An expanded torque system of an internal combustion engine includes a cylinder having an upper piston bore, a lower piston bore and a lower action chamber. 摘要: A compression ratio varying arrangement of an engine is adapted to work with a crankshaft having at least one crankpin offset from the centerline of the crankshaft. An eccentric has an internal bore engaged with the crankpin, and an external cylindrical surface that has a centerline that is offset from the centerline of the internal bore. A connecting rod is engaged with the external cylindrical surface of the eccentric, and a piston is connected to the connecting rod. An eccentric lever is attached to the eccentric. A compression ratio adjustment link is connected to the eccentric lever. A compression ratio adjustment mechanism is connected to the compression ratio adjustment link. The compression ratio adjustment mechanism controls the orientation of the connecting rod eccentric, and thereby the compression ratio of the engine, by extending or retracting the compression ratio adjustment link.
