    摘要: A vehicle includes a fuel tank and an evaporative-emissions system having a primary subsystem and an auxiliary subsystem. The primary subsystem has a fuel-vapor canister in fluid communication with the fuel tank to capture fuel vapors of the fuel tank. The auxiliary subsystem is configured to capture fuel vapors associated with an external fuel-storage device. The auxiliary subsystem has an auxiliary port located on an exterior of the vehicle and is configured to connect with the external fuel-storage device. The auxiliary port is selectively connected in fluid communication with the fuel-vapor canister by a valve.

    摘要: Methods and systems are provided for conducting vehicle fuel system and/or evaporative emissions system diagnostics, where the diagnostics rely on a positive pressure with respect to atmospheric pressure. In one example, a method comprises activating an electric compressor positioned in an intake of an engine configured to receive purge gasses from the evaporative emissions system under boosted engine operation and natural engine operation, to direct a positive pressure with respect to atmospheric pressure to the fuel system and/or evaporative emission system to conduct said diagnostic. In this way, diagnostics that rely on positive pressure with respect to atmospheric pressure may be conducted in vehicles with a dual-path purge system, without introduction of a pump in the evaporative emissions system.

    摘要: Methods and systems are provided for conducting a diagnostic on a fuel tank isolation valve that regulates a flow of fuel vapors from a fuel tank to an evaporative emissions system. In one example, a method comprises determining whether the fuel tank isolation valve is stuck in a first open position or a second open position based on a time duration between commanding open a canister purge valve to direct fuel vapors to an engine, and an exhaust gas sensor indicating a rich air-fuel ratio. In this way, appropriate mitigating action may be taken in response to the fuel tank isolation valve being stuck in either the first open position or the second open position.

    摘要: A valve assembly for an air flow system, where the air flow system has a turbocharger unit and a venturi valve member for receiving a portion of the pressurized air from the turbocharger unit, and generating back pressure. The valve assembly includes a bypass switching valve and a bypass check valve. During a first mode of operation, the valve assembly is exposed to vacuum pressure, and the bypass check valve is exposed to the vacuum pressure such that the bypass check valve is placed in a closed position. During a second mode of operation the turbocharger unit is activated, pressurized air flows through the bypass switching valve, and places the bypass check valve in an open position, and the back pressure generated by the venturi valve member and the pressurized air from the turbocharger unit creates a pressure differential in the bypass check valve.

    摘要: A control valve is disposed on a vapor control system which controls vapor. A case and caps hold a diaphragm. The case and the diaphragm define a primary chamber. The caps and the diaphragm define a secondary chamber. The secondary chamber communicates to an inlet passage via a through hole formed as an orifice. An inlet pipe is arranged so that the inlet passage and the secondary chamber are adjacent each other by being separated by an outer wall. By employing this arrangement, the through hole can be formed without increasing a vapor permeable surface area. Since the through hole is not formed on the diaphragm, a stable open-and-close characteristic can be provided. The through hole may be formed by using a molding die for forming the inlet passage. Thereby, it is possible to improve productivity.

    摘要: An evaporated fuel treatment apparatus includes a diagnosis section for leak diagnosis of an evaporated fuel tightly-closed system. In first diagnosis stage in which an atmosphere on-off valve is in close state after an ignition switch is turned off, the diagnosis section performs first leak diagnosis, based on relationship between tank internal pressure detected by a tank internal pressure sensor and first threshold value; and in second diagnosis stage in which the atmosphere on-off valve is in close state after completion of first leak diagnosis, the diagnosis section performs second leak diagnosis, based on relationship between tank internal pressure detected by the tank internal pressure sensor and second threshold value. The atmosphere on-off valve is once opened after completion of first leak diagnosis. First threshold value is set with larger deviation from the atmospheric pressure compared with second threshold value used in second diagnosis stage.

    摘要: A leakage diagnosis apparatus is applied to an evaporated-gas purge system including a negative-pressure sensor and a pressure detecting portion. The negative-pressure sensor introduces a negative pressure into an evaporation system. The pressure detecting portion detects the pressure in the evaporation system. The leakage diagnosis apparatus includes a leakage-diagnosis portion and a determining portion. The leakage-diagnosis portion executes a leakage diagnosis to determine whether a leakage of the evaporation system is generated. The determining portion determines whether an evaporated-gas amount in the evaporation system is in an excessive state while the internal combustion engine is stopped. The leakage-diagnosis portion prohibits or terminates the leakage diagnosis, when the determining portion determines that the evaporated-gas amount is in the excessive state.
