    摘要: An engine apparatus includes a fuel supply system which may comprise a fuel reservoir, primary fuel supply path extending from a fuel inlet in fluid cooperation with the fuel reservoir to a fuel outlet, pressure pulse source, and first and second pressure-operated fuel pumps located along the primary fuel supply path; each of fuel pumps operably coupled to the pressure pulse source. The fuel pumps may be pulse type pumps arranged in series from a flow standpoint along the primary fuel supply path such that fuel discharged by the first fuel pump is supplied to the second fuel pump. The fuel pumps may be mounted and to the engine or appurtenance thereof in a stacked or side-by-side relationship. The pressure pulse source may be the engine crankcase in some designs. The flow and pressures delivered by the series flow fuel pumps are suitable for use with four stroke/cycle engines.

The fuel pump includes: a rotatable shaft placed along a rotational axis; a rotor portion that rotates in response to rotation of the rotatable shaft; a suction hole portion, through which the fuel is suctioned into an inside of a rotor receiving chamber; and an outer peripheral wall that surrounds the suction hole portion. The suction filter includes: a filter element that filters the fuel and conducts the filtered fuel into an inside space; and a columnar hole portion having an inner peripheral wall, while the outer peripheral wall and the inner peripheral wall are fitted with each other, so that the columnar hole portion communicates between the inside space and the suction hole portion. The columnar hole portion is placed such that the rotational axis extends on an inner side of the inner peripheral wall.

When the rotational speed of the engine is equal to or lower than the predetermined rotational speed, the low-pressure fuel injection valve is controlled through the use of a fuel injection time based on a detected fuel pressure input from the fuel pressure sensor from the issuance of a command to activate energization of a solenoid to the start of energization of the solenoid and a target fuel injection amount.

    摘要: A fuel booster system having a fuel inlet port, a fuel outlet port, and a fuel accumulator fluidically coupled to both ports. The fuel inlet port allows fuel to be delivered to the fuel accumulator and the fuel outlet port is in fluid communication with a combustion engine to deliver fuel from the fuel booster system to the combustion engine. A source of pressurized gas is also fluidically coupled to the fuel accumulator to deliver pressurized gas through a gas port in one end of the fuel accumulator. A piston is located within the fuel accumulator and the source of pressurized gas can be discharged into the fuel accumulator to force accumulated fuel from the fuel accumulator and to the engine when the fuel booster system determines that the engine needs more fuel.
