    Abstract: The present disclosure is intended to provide an internal combustion engine that can inhibit fuel from adhering to a piston and can reduce generation of soot. An internal combustion engine includes a piston, a cylinder accommodating the piston, and an injector including a nozzle that has a plurality of nozzle holes configured to inject fuel into the cylinder from above the cylinder. Among the plurality of nozzle holes, a sixth nozzle hole an axial direction of which is the most deflected toward the piston has a nozzle hole diameter larger than nozzle hole diameters of the other nozzle holes, and the nozzle hole diameter of the sixth nozzle hole corresponds to at least 20% of the total of the nozzle hole diameters of the other nozzle holes.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a fluid control device with an improved effect of suppressing blowhole generation. Therefore, a component for a flow rate control device of the present invention includes: a first component 140 (A); a second component 107 (B) fixed to the first component by a press-fitting portion 802; a butt-welded portion 803 connecting the first component and the second component; and a first gap 1001 and a second gap 1002 formed between mutually opposing surfaces of the first component and the second component. The first gap is provided on a side of the press-fitting portion with respect to the second gap between the press-fitting portion and the butt-welded portion, and is formed in a direction intersecting a press-fitting direction. The second gap is provided on a side of the butt-welded portion with respect to the first gap between the press-fitting portion and the welded portion, and is formed in a direction intersecting the first gap.

    Abstract: A liquid fuel injector for a fuel system in an internal combustion engine includes two injection control valves for controlling two outlet checks. A common nozzle supply cavity is fluidly connected to an inlet passage and supplies each of the two sets of nozzle outlets opened and closed by the outlet checks. A first nozzle outlet set forms a narrower spray angle and has a first combination of outlet number and outlet size, and a second nozzle outlet set forms a wider spray angle and has a second combination of outlet number and outlet size. The first nozzle outlet set has a greater steady flow than the second nozzle outlet set.

    Abstract: An injecting apparatus for injecting a fluid under pressure into an associated chamber, the injecting apparatus including: a body, a piston movable in the body under the action of fluid pressure in the associated chamber acting from externally against the piston, the piston being operable to compress fluid to be injected in a high pressure chamber, the piston being movable against the action of fluid pressure in a control chamber whereby movement of the piston is selectively controllable by controlling the fluid in the control chamber, an injector valve and an associated injector orifice in selective fluid communication with the high pressure chamber whereby high pressure fluid from the high pressure chamber can be injected through the injector orifice upon opening of the injection valve.
