    Abstract: A multipoint fuel injection system comprises an injection system segment including a circumferentially extending outer support defining a fuel manifold with a plurality of manifold passages extending circumferentially therethrough. A first connector is included at a first circumferential end of the outer support and a second connector is included at a second circumferential end of the outer support opposite the first circumferential end. The first and second connectors are each configured to connect each manifold passage with a manifold passages of a respective outer support of a circumferentially adjacent injection system segment. The system includes a circumferentially extending inner support and a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart feed arms extending radially between the inner support and the outer support. A plurality of outlet openings extend in an axial direction from each feed arm for feeding respective injection nozzles.

    [Solution] An exemplary engine includes: a first cylinder row having plural cylinders arranged in a front and rear direction; a second cylinder row arranged parallel to the first cylinder row; plural first injectors provided for the respective cylinders of the first cylinder row, plural second injectors provided for respective cylinders of the second cylinder row; and a fuel pump having a first discharge port to discharge a fuel to the plural first injectors and a second discharge port to discharge a fuel to the plural second injectors. The fuel pump is placed between the first cylinder row and the second cylinder row in a plan view from an up and down direction.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a device for supplying a gaseous fuel to an engine that comprises a gas accumulator for receiving highly pressurized gaseous fuel, a gas buffer for receiving medium pressurized gaseous fuel, a gas supply device for delivering a gaseous fuel into an engine combustion space, a first gas line that connects the gas accumulator to the gas buffer and whose gas flow can be regulated via a first valve, a second gas line that connects the gas accumulator to the gas buffer and whose gas flow can be regulated via a second valve, and a third gas line that connects the gas buffer to the gas supply device. The device is further characterized in that a compressor is arranged in the second gas line to increase a pressure of a gaseous fuel flowing from the gas accumulator to the gas buffer.

    Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for interrupting fluid flow when experiencing fuel leaking conditions, such as an out of specification connection between the fuel source and a device utilizing the fluid.     Abstract: A high pressure fuel pump includes an inlet metering valve arranged to control a quantity of fuel delivered to the pumping chamber during retracting motion of the pumping plunger. The inlet metering valve includes a metering valve member movable between a closed position and an open position, movement of the metering valve member from the closed position to the open position defining a variable flow area that increases as the metering valve member moves from the closed position toward the open position. An actuator piston in an actuator bore is exposed to pressure in the common rail. The actuator piston is biased toward a first position corresponding to low pressure in the common rail and movable toward a second position corresponding to maximum pressure in the common rail. The actuator piston includes a valve stop that determines a metering position of the metering valve member.
