Abstract: A rotor shaft unit for a tidal system, which tidal system includes a main frame and a rotor and a housing connected to the rotor, includes a rotor shaft configured to be connected to the main frame, at least one bearing unit for rotatably supporting the housing for rotation relative to the rotor shaft, and a sleeve configured to be mounted in the main frame, the sleeve being disposed around a first end portion of the rotor shaft and connected to the rotor shaft by a friction connection. Abstract: This invention provides a rolling bearing protection device and a vertical-axis tidal current energy generating device applying the same. The vertical-axis tidal current energy generating device includes a frame, a vertical-axis hydraulic generator, a rolling bearing, and a rolling bearing protection device. The vertical-axis hydraulic generator includes a main shaft disposed vertical to a horizontal surface, one end of the main shaft is rotatably disposed at a bottom of the frame. The rolling bearing is sleeved on one end of the main shaft. The rolling bearing protection device is disposed above the rolling bearing. The rolling bearing protection device includes a first sealing protection device, a first water leak-proof chamber, and a second sealing protection device disposed in sequence along a gravity direction.

Abstract: A guide bearing system including a pad adjuster to traverse at least one bearing in a direction to adjust a radial clearance. The system can further include a sensor for measuring deviations in the radial clearance. In some embodiments, the guide bearing system includes a controller that receives a distance signal from the sensor measuring the radial clearance and signals the pad adjuster to traverse the at least one bearing to compensate for the deviations in the radial clearance.

Abstract: A wave-power system configured to produce electric power is provided. The wave-power system may comprise a floating body structure, a set of blades attached to the floating body structure, a weight assembly, a bidirectional to unidirectional shaft assembly and/or a power unit. The weight assembly may comprise a plurality of weights which may rotate around a first axis of rotation as a result of floating movements of the floating body structure. Rotation of the plurality of weights may cause an input shaft of the bidirectional to unidirectional shaft assembly to rotate. An output shaft of the bidirectional to unidirectional shaft assembly may rotate in a first direction, regardless of a direction of rotation of the input shaft. Rotation of the output shaft causes the power unit to produce the electric power.

Abstract: A hydroelectric turbine system includes a bridge assembly including a central supporting ring having an axially elongated body and a tongue extending axially from the body. The system includes a stator having a radially inner circumferential surface and a radially outer circumferential surface. The inner circumferential surface is disposed on a radially outer surface of the tongue. The system includes a bearing mechanism extending axially along the outer circumferential surface of the stator. The mechanism includes one or more bearings. Each bearing includes a surface that extends parallel to the outer circumferential surface of the stator. The system includes a rotor supported radially outward of the stator and configured to rotate relative to the stator about an axis of rotation.

Abstract: A tidal current energy generating device includes an outer frame (1), at least one inner frame (2), at least two hydro turbines (3), at least one center shaft (4), at least one generator (5), and at least three bearings (6). The at least one inner frame (2) is separably disposed in the outer frame (1). At least two hydro turbines (3) are located below a water surface and are disposed in one inner frame (2). At least two hydro turbines (3) are disposed coaxially and are vertical-axis hydro turbines. At least one center shaft (4) is disposed through the at least two hydro turbines (3), the axis direction of the center shaft is perpendicular to the horizontal plane, and the center shaft (4) rotates along with the rotating of the hydro turbines (3). The at least one generator (5) is located above the water surface and connected with one end of the center shaft (4). The at least three bearings are sleeved on the center shaft (4) and are located on two sides of and between the two hydro turbines (3), respectively. The tidal current energy generating device can be modularly assembled and replaced above the water surface and can extend along the water depth direction, thereby improving the power generating efficiency.

Abstract: A hydro-electric power system includes two containers and a support beam having two ends, each end holding one of the containers. The ends allow the containers to travel along a length of the support beam. The support beam pivots about a pivot point, giving each container a maximum height and a minimum height. Fluid flows into each of the containers when located near their maximum height, the flow of water weighting each container and causing it to descend, each container moving longitudinally outward from the pivot point along the support beam as it descends. A dumping mechanism causes each container to release fluid near its minimum height, each container ascending after releasing water and moving longitudinally inward toward the pivot point along the support beam.
