Abstract: A system includes a variable displacement pump (VDP) in fluid communication with an inlet line and with an outlet line. The VDP includes a variable displacement mechanism configured to vary pressure to the outlet line. An electromechanical actuator (EMA) is operatively connected to actuate the variable displacement mechanism. A flow sensing valve (FSV) connected in the outlet line. The FSV includes a sensor configured to generate sensor data indicative of flow out of the outlet line. A controller is operatively connected to the EMA to control the variable displacement mechanism based on the sensor data to support flow demands from one or more downstream systems.

Abstract: A compressor includes a shell, first and second scroll members, a fitting assembly and a valve assembly. The first scroll member includes a first end plate having a first spiral wrap extending therefrom. The second scroll member includes a second end plate having a second spiral wrap extending therefrom and an injection passage formed in the second end plate. The second spiral wrap is meshingly engaged with the first spiral wrap to form compression pockets. The injection passage is in fluid communication with the compression pockets. The fitting assembly is in fluid communication with the injection passage. The valve assembly coupled to one of the second scroll member and the fitting assembly and movable between a closed position in which fluid communication between the compression pockets and the suction chamber is prevented and an open position in which fluid communication between the compression pockets and the suction chamber is allowed.

Low pressure portion has pressure that is hydraulic pressure of oil discharged from discharge port (26) or less. Oil from discharge port (26), having higher pressure than first low pressure chamber (281), flows into first low pressure chamber (281) by pressure difference between discharge port (26) and first low pressure chamber (281).

Abstract: A rotary, self-priming, positive displacement pump is described. The pump may include a pump housing including an inlet and an outlet, a pump chamber including an upper wall, a lateral wall, and a floor, first and second rotary impellers in the pump chamber, and a pair of gears each secured to the first and second rotary impellers, and a pressure relief feature operable to relieve pressure developing in a relatively high pressure zone of the pump chamber. The gears mesh with each other to ensure that the vanes do not contact one another during rotation. The pressure relief feature may comprise one or more channels formed in the pump housing and/or the first and second rotary impellers. The channels connect the high pressure zone with another zone to redistribute pressure. The channels may include one continuous channel or alternatively, a plurality of unconnected channels.
