    Abstract: In a rotary compressor, at least any one of a main bearing or a sub-bearing may have at least one axial-direction support portion that extends from an outer circumferential surface of a back pressure pocket and is formed to have a predetermined depth. The compressor may increase an oil film pressure that supports a roller in an axial direction thereof to stably support the roller including a rotational shaft in the axial direction, thereby effectively suppressing or preventing friction loss and abrasion between the roller and the main bearing facing the roller and between the roller and the sub-bearing.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor is provided that may include a cylinder having an inner peripheral surface; a roller; and a plurality of vanes slidably inserted into the plurality of vane slots to rotate together with the roller, front end surfaces of which come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder due to the back pressure to partition the compression space into a plurality of compression chambers. The cylinder may further include a suction flow path for refrigerant that may include a suction port that communicates with the compression space to suction the refrigerant in a lateral direction, and a suction passage disposed in a direction that crosses the suction port to provide communication between the compression space and the suction port.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor may include an outflow passage through which refrigerant flows out of a compression space. The outflow passage may include at least one first outflow guide portion disposed in a main bearing or a sub bearing, at least one second outflow guide portion formed through between both axial ends of a roller, and at least one third outflow guide portion disposed in a bearing opposite to the bearing with the at least one first outflow guide portion based on the roller, to communicate with the at least one first outflow guide portion through the at least one second outflow guide portion. This may minimize an amount of refrigerant remaining in the compression space, thereby enhancing compression efficiency. A pressure difference on a front of a vane may also be eliminated, which may suppress or prevent vane jumping, thereby reducing wear of the vane or cylinder. As the outflow passage is periodically opened, refrigerant leakage may be suppressed or prevented during a compression stroke, thereby preventing under-compression.

    Abstract: A multistage compressor system with intercooler can include a sealed housing with first and second compressor stages, where the first compressor stage is for receiving refrigerant from outside of the sealed housing, and the second compressor stage is for receiving refrigerant from within the sealed housing. The compressor system can also include a crank for mechanically driving the first compressor stage and/or the second compressor stage, and a heat exchanger outside of the sealed housing for receiving refrigerant from the first compressor stage and exchanging heat with the refrigerant. The compressor system can further include an oil reservoir contained by the sealed housing, where the oil reservoir includes oil for lubricating the crank, receives the refrigerant from the heat exchanger, and exchanges heat with the refrigerant to cool the oil in the oil reservoir, and where the refrigerant can be supplied to the second compressor stage.

    Abstract: A hermetic compressor is provided that may include a vane that is inserted into a roller, rotates with the roller, and is pushed out toward an inner circumference of a cylinder by rotation of the roller to divide the compression chamber into a plurality of spaces. The vane may include a body having a sealing surface that contacts the inner circumference of the cylinder and inserted into the roller; and a guide that extends from an axial end of the body in a direction crossing a direction the vane slides out, and that is slidably inserted into a guide groove formed on at least one of the first bearing or the second bearing to restrain the vane from sliding out of the roller toward the inner circumference of the cylinder.
